Disputes are not ceasing among Muslims about Salavat Al-Fatih. He is considered the most valuable and important among all other appeals to Allah, and his daily repeated reading can save the believer from going to hell. However, other theologians argue that the value of this salavat is significantly exaggerated. They believe that it is important and very significant in the eyes of the Almighty, but cannot provide the soul with paradise. So how important is the salavat Al-Fatih in the life of the faithful sura? Today we will try to answer this difficult question.
What is salavat?
Salavat Al-Fatiha is not the only one in Islam, every Muslim knows several of them. This term includes two meanings:
- a prayer praising the Prophet Muhammad and exalting all his good deeds in the eyes of Allah;
- one of the prayers recited during prayer.
Despite the two meanings of the word “salavat,” primarily Muslims perceive it precisely as a way of praising the Prophet. It is noteworthy that in Islam, everyone who praises Muhammad daily and asks for him in the face of the Almighty surely receives blessing and good luck. After all, for every salavat pronounced for the Prophet, the faithful is rewarded with a good several hundred thousand times increased size.
Translation of "salavat"
We have already mentioned a little about the significance of the Salavat Al-Fatih in the daily life of a true believer. It is noteworthy that in the translation this word exactly corresponds to its main meaning. The Arabic language is very capacious and beautiful, so many words in it have a very deep meaning. Salavat translated from Arabic means "blessing." This is exactly what is promised to a person who repeatedly reads this prayer with sincere intentions.
However, one should not forget that the value of this salavat lies in appealing to Allah only with a pure heart. Those who want additional benefits for their prayer work will not be rewarded by them. This contradicts all the texts of the Koran and the foundations of Islam.
The main essence of Al-Fatih Salavat
It is not entirely clear to many believers why to offer a prayer for the Prophet, if he is already beloved and exalted by Allah. However, do not forget that each prayer is an opportunity to directly contact the Creator and enter into personal contact with him. This time can be considered an invaluable gift during which the soul becomes cleaner and better, and the mind is enlightened.
It is noteworthy that prayer for another soul is always preferable to Allah than a petition for oneself. Since the Prophet Muhammad is revered by absolutely all Muslims without exception, and his contribution to the establishment of religion is invaluable, prayer for him and his immortal soul is very valuable in the eyes of the Almighty. Such a person receives all kinds of benefits - material and spiritual.
The dignity of salavat "Fatih"
Everyone who recites this prayer regularly receives great benefits for his soul. The most valuable salavat in Islam gives the Muslim much more than he can even imagine:
- angels will tirelessly ask Allah for him;
- in one reading of salavat, a person is awarded ten times in reading a prayer for his soul by the Almighty himself (each time the pronunciation of Al-Fatiha increases the prayer for a person ten times);
- one salavat can be equated to six hundred thousand other prayers;
- everyone who reads al-Fatih at least once will never go to hell;
- this prayer corresponds to the seven readings of the Qur'an;
- many theologians argue that even thousands of other prayers cannot be compared with a single reading of Salavat about the Prophet Muhammad.
Theologians also talk about the sins that have completely pervaded our world. Even in ancient times, man was constantly subjected to temptation, and at present sinfulness is not even hidden and extolled by people. It’s not easy to wash off their touch, but reading Al-Fatih salavat can rid the soul of any sin almost in an instant.
The faithful, whose sins at the highest court will outweigh the good deeds, can be sure that the Salavat will block all their unseemly deeds and make virtues more significant in the eyes of Allah. This is one of Al-Fatih's core values, which inspires many Muslims to prayer daily.
Salavat to the Prophet Muhammad
Many sources have translated the salavat of Al-Fatih, so we will not give it in the article. However, we cannot but mention the meaning of this translation. In a few lines of prayer, a person asks to bless the Prophet and his entire family, while praising Allah. Theologians consider reading salavat with a pure heart and soul, and the intention to exalt all the deeds of Muhammad and his descendants the most important.
The origin of salavat
Many Muslims do not know where the salavat came from in honor of the Prophet. Most often, his authorship is attributed to Muhammad al-Bakri al-Siddiqi, but in fact this is not true. Sources say that for a very long time he prayed to Allah to give people prayers that would keep a great secret. Moreover, Muhammad al-Bakri al-Siddiqui asked the Almighty about prayer for the Prophet, her reading should exceed all conceivable and inconceivable rewards that a person can imagine. Al-Bakri’s request was so hot, and the prayer was unceasing, that Allah took pity and sent an angel to the earth. He brought with him Al-Fatih, written on a sheet woven from light.
Best days to read salavat
A Muslim can read salavat every day. This prayer has no special time and is pronounced at any moment of life at the behest of the heart. Each faithful considers it necessary for himself to read salavat at least several times a day and teaches his children this. After all, a prayer praising the Prophet will bring benefits to their lives and may even to some extent affect their fate. However, there are days of the week and places where Al-Fatiha will have the greatest power, which means it will bring a lot of benefit to the person and his family.
First of all, you should definitely read this salavat on the grave of the Prophet. It is believed that at the time of praising Muhammad, his soul returns to the body and greets the faithful who prays for him. Naturally, in this case, the Muslim becomes much closer to the Prophet, which promises him a lot of blessings.
Salavat reading on Fridays is also especially valuable. On this festive day, prayer will help get rid of sins and be completely cleansed. Some theologians say that it depends on how many times a Muslim says a prayer, how many sins he can remove from himself.
Do not forget that salavat is the best way to approach Allah and acquire intercessors in the person of angels and the Prophet Muhammad himself. After all, they will ask the Almighty for your immortal soul and will certainly provide assistance in difficult times.
