Biography
Pyotr Andreevich Pavlensky was born in 1984 in Leningrad.
He studied at the Art Academy. A.L. Stieglitz in St. Petersburg. In the fourth year, he entered an additional educational program at the Pro Arte Institute.
Neither the academy nor the institute did not finish, leaving before the graduation. I never received a diploma. Peter did all this for ideological reasons.
In 2012, Peter Pavlensky created a magazine on political propaganda, which devoted contemporary art in the context of politics. The good attitude of the publication to feminism and the gender issue has become important. The aim of the magazine was to overcome the cultural chauvinism that imposes the state and the apparatus of its ideology.
