What is Kazantip? What is happiness? For residents of Republic Z, these two questions complement each other. And all because the main slogan there is happiness. Now Kazantip is located in the village of Popovka near the city of Saki in the Crimea. But the festival had to wander pretty much before settling in this place.
The history of the festival began with the usual fanboard competitions that took place near the city of Shchelkino in the Crimea. In those days when the weather did not contribute to the sport, participants held contests and parties. Needless to say that bad weather was almost always? At the time of the first competition, only 400 people participated, then the number increased to 1000 guests from the capital. In 2000, their number reached the mark of 10,000 people from all regions of the country. Such indicators were achieved thanks to sponsors who have supported the festival since its inception. Of course, numerous photographs of vibrant events that did not leave anyone indifferent affected the population growth.
Perhaps, only Kazantip has so many different traditions and fetishes. What is a yellow suitcase with chrome corners, probably all boys and girls know. This symbol was taken from the famous Soviet film "The Adventures of a Yellow Suitcase". Each such accessory is individual and not like the other. It is a pass to the "republic of happiness" and is surrounded by legends. It depicts anything. For compliance with the standards of this style, the government of the republic exempts from paying a visa.
Every Thursday there is a parade of freaks. People dress in original costumes and walk in a column to the highest point of Kazantip. Closer to sunset, a ritual of marriage of the Kazantip style takes place here. Young boys and girls receive a certificate of marriage, drink champagne and swear love to each other.
Kazantip-2013 became very short in comparison with the past years. The music of the invited DJs, as always, was high-quality, fashionable and very loud. This year the government placed its main stake on young performers representing progressive music.
Those who have visited Popovka at least once know that it is impossible to describe in words everything that happens there. It is worth seeing. It's no secret that the festival is famous for the use of various narcotic drugs by participants and promiscuous sexual relations. Many have seen videos of the debauchery that takes place there in broad daylight on beaches and clubs. Therefore, if you are a serious and highly moral person, do not go there.
It is interesting that the main inhabitants of the republic are representatives of serious professions: marketers, bankers, representatives of the IT sphere, young teachers, designers, PR specialists and many other young specialists. The average age ranges from 17 to 35 years, but there are older guests. Probably, they go for detente, for inspiration, for new forces that only Kazantip can give.
