Blood vow: a mystical ritual and its consequences

Blood is a carrier of genetic information. It has long been deservedly attributed to it very serious magical properties. Moreover, it was often used in ancient pagan rituals, and nowadays it sometimes participates in chilling Satanic rites. But in magic this elixir of life is given an even more honorable place!

Sequencing

Ancient oath fresco

An oath of blood has always been a very serious confirmation of this commitment. Over the centuries, this sacred rite has undergone almost no changes, and the sequence of actions has remained the same.

Firstly, those who swear make a small incision in a certain area of the hand (forearm, finger, palm or wrist).

Secondly, two participants apply wounds to each other, as a sign of blood mixing.

Thirdly, the words of the oath are uttered, the violation of which is worse than death!

In the most creepy version, a special potion is made from the blood. But more often than not, it is simply diluted with wine.

Legends and traditions

blood vow consequences

The Scandinavian Saga of Orvar-Odda most accurately describes an example of an oath of friendship on blood. It tells how the protagonist decided to face off with the brave Swede Hjalmar, but after the battle, which lasted two days, it became clear that their forces were equal, so they decided to fraternize and never part. They put together the tips of the bloodied spears, resting their bases on the earth’s firmament, the blood drained (accompanied by spells) and connected into one big puddle. Thus, they seemed to have merged their forces together. German Strack Leberecht, a well-known German scientist, studied the issue of blood oaths in great detail and concluded that: the initial meaning of this rite of the northern tribes was most likely that the participants seemed to show that the earth is the mother of any living creature.

Norman legends mention that Hagni and Gunnar become blood brothers to King Sigurd, who married their sister Gudrun. Wagner's work “The Ring of the Nibelungs” tells us about the “blood brotherhood” of Siegfried and Gunther. And in the Viking legend about “Loki's Hassle” it is said that the gods Odin and Loki also performed the oath on blood.

In Strack’s book, “Blood in the Beliefs and Superstitions of Mankind,” it is said that the custom of tasting pure human blood (or diluted with wine) during the solemn oath of friendship or the conclusion of an alliance was used in a culture of a different ethnic group, both in paganism and in the Middle Ages, in it describes in detail the traditions of the ceremonial drinking of this "elixir" of life.

Herodotus tells about the Scythians that the agreements are sealed by the fact that wine is poured into a large clay bowl, and the soldiers make a small incision in the arm area, thereby bleeding, which then flows into the wine. Drink this elixir and those who conclude a contract, and witnesses of what is happening.

About Persians (he himself) is told that the blood oath of fidelity happens like this - between two swearing witnesses, a witness stands, and with a pointed cobblestone he puts a deep wound on each palm, then pulls one thread from their clothes. After that, he smears all seven stones laid between those who took the oath, calling Urania and Dionysus as witnesses. But starting from the VI-VII centuries., In historical sources there is no mention of human blood, and only rites with the use of camel are mentioned.

Ancient ritual chalice

In Tacitus' Annals, it is written that when the two kings conclude an agreement, they join their hands together, twisting their thumbs, after which they make a small injection on them, and licked off the liquid from each other. This union is considered secret and sacred, as it is sealed with the blood of both sides.

Plutarch narrates that the exiled Tarquinius the Proud, together with the offspring of Brutus, conceived a conspiracy, which was sealed with a terrible oath, on the insides of a man who was sacrificed. Sallustius says that Catilina and the conspirators also drank blood and wine as a sign of agreement.

Slavic brotherhood ritual

Slavic pagan traditions indicate that the main way to end the rivalry between the two families was to drink blood together. Representatives of the two genera use a sharp needle to pierce an artery on the wrist of their right hands, after which they suck out each other’s blood, fastening their friendship with a kiss and an oath of allegiance until death.

A similar ritual was actively used in the Slavic tribes, and managed to reach our time without changing. If two men decide to become blood brothers, then before they do this, they must think it over a million times. Only after a firm decision is made can one tell the Magus or another elder so that he witnesses the oath and reads the necessary words. Then they rip open the veins on their wrist with a dagger (ceremonial or each one their own), and pour blood into the hop-bowl, mixing with drink, then they connect the wounds, pressing them tightly against each other, to the chant of the Magus. Then, at the end of reading the hex, he gives everyone a potion, having drunk that, the named brothers fasten the bonds with a hug.

Blood vow of love

last love like an oath on the roof

To this day, many nations have a special ritual for fastening marriage ties. It consists in the fact that lovers deeply injure each other's palms, after which they add their blood to the ritual bowl with wine and drink an equal amount of elixir. So they connect at the energy level.

For thousands of years, such rituals have been present and are still used by many nations, not at all with the aim of creating something bad, but rather, on the contrary, to consolidate the union of two people, making it even stronger. And the oath of lovers on the blood always had not the last place in various cultures.

blood vow of love

In our time it is very difficult to meet Monogamous people, therefore making serious promises of love before the grave is at least stupid and useless, and at the maximum it is simply dangerous. It’s not worth promising what is obviously difficult to accomplish.

Magic rituals

blood vow of friendship

There are many different esoteric rites in which blood is the primary element. Performing such rituals, one should adhere to strict rules and comply with all conditions, otherwise you can cause irreparable harm instead of benefit.

Blood vows in magic are very strong and are most often performed on the full moon, exactly at 00:00. Below is an example of one of them.

The wax candle placed on the saucer is lit, and on the gray sheet of paper the following text is written in blue letters: “I (name), I swear ... (necessary words). Words do not break, do not betray. Amen (so be it). ” After that, you should pierce the finger of your right hand and attach it to a piece of paper with a conspiracy, preferably in the center of the writing. The leaf is folded four times, after which it is burned by the flame of a candle, and until it burns to the ground, the words of hex are repeated. The ashes should be dispelled in the wind, going beyond the threshold of the house, the candle should be hidden away, and the saucer should simply be washed and used properly. After completing the ritual, you should rather go to bed.

The consequences of the blood oath

From reasonable considerations, giving some rash vow is great stupidity. Because a vow to higher powers should only be finally convinced of the correctness of their actions, and remember that there will be no turning back. Failure to fulfill such a promise - blood oaths, often entails dire consequences that will negatively affect the rest of your life. And here it doesn’t matter whether you believe in mysticism or not, the punishment will still come.

Ekaterina Shavrina’s words in the song are:

Last love, stop the clock! Last love, like an oath on blood! It intoxicates more than a century of wine! And do not part with it, and do not drink to the dregs!

But love does not need mystical rituals, it should be mutual, mutual, by agreement of the two parties.

Do not do this ever!

Magic ritual

Many love spells are done with the use of blood, but this is from the section of what you should not do at all. An enchanted person becomes like a zombie - loses his own will, and the consequences often become very deplorable. At the very least, the bewitched person becomes a limp alcoholic, and at the very least, the killer of the one who bewitched him. The latter is usually the result of ordinary jealousy. Before you perform magical rituals, think about the consequences. There are many examples where a love spell returns to the one who committed it. There is no mysticism; rather, it is the law of justice.
