Norman legends mention that Hagni and Gunnar become blood brothers to King Sigurd, who married their sister Gudrun. Wagner's work “The Ring of the Nibelungs” tells us about the “blood brotherhood” of Siegfried and Gunther. And in the Viking legend about “Loki's Hassle” it is said that the gods Odin and Loki also performed the oath on blood.

Slavic brotherhood ritual
Slavic pagan traditions indicate that the main way to end the rivalry between the two families was to drink blood together. Representatives of the two genera use a sharp needle to pierce an artery on the wrist of their right hands, after which they suck out each other’s blood, fastening their friendship with a kiss and an oath of allegiance until death.
A similar ritual was actively used in the Slavic tribes, and managed to reach our time without changing. If two men decide to become blood brothers, then before they do this, they must think it over a million times. Only after a firm decision is made can one tell the Magus or another elder so that he witnesses the oath and reads the necessary words. Then they rip open the veins on their wrist with a dagger (ceremonial or each one their own), and pour blood into the hop-bowl, mixing with drink, then they connect the wounds, pressing them tightly against each other, to the chant of the Magus. Then, at the end of reading the hex, he gives everyone a potion, having drunk that, the named brothers fasten the bonds with a hug.
Blood vow of love
To this day, many nations have a special ritual for fastening marriage ties. It consists in the fact that lovers deeply injure each other's palms, after which they add their blood to the ritual bowl with wine and drink an equal amount of elixir. So they connect at the energy level.
For thousands of years, such rituals have been present and are still used by many nations, not at all with the aim of creating something bad, but rather, on the contrary, to consolidate the union of two people, making it even stronger. And the oath of lovers on the blood always had not the last place in various cultures.

The leaf is folded four times, after which it is burned by the flame of a candle, and until it burns to the ground, the words of hex are repeated. The ashes should be dispelled in the wind, going beyond the threshold of the house, the candle should be hidden away, and the saucer should simply be washed and used properly. After completing the ritual, you should rather go to bed.
The consequences of the blood oath
From reasonable considerations, giving some rash vow is great stupidity. Because a vow to higher powers should only be finally convinced of the correctness of their actions, and remember that there will be no turning back. Failure to fulfill such a promise - blood oaths, often entails dire consequences that will negatively affect the rest of your life.
