Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 150 - admirable off-road vehicle

Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 150 is one of those infrequent models that are particularly admired in the line of even the most popular manufacturer. Such cars live their own lives - they are called a name in which the name of a famous brand is not present. It is rare to hear someone calling a model by their full name - Toyota Land Cruiser. The most commonly mentioned are either Prado or Land Cruiser.

It’s enough for the owners of this SUV to pronounce the name of their car in a somewhat careless tone: “Prado” or “Landcruiser” to demonstrate their high status and ambitiousness. In fact, this machine perfectly characterizes the excellent taste of its owner, who values quality, breed, comfort and pragmatism above all else. Immediately after the appearance of the Land Cruiser, they began to stand out noticeably among their "relatives" - off-road vehicles of far from the middle class. In 1990, the Cruiser line was divided into "commercial" and "comfortable and light." The latter acquired the additional name Prado, whose origin is not known for certain. Either it is somehow connected with the consonant name of the model house, or with the Italian word "meadow", which symbolizes the amazing ability of an SUV to cope with moving along bumpy off-road.

Land Cruiser 2012
A significant moment in the history of Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 150 is the fact that this is the first of the diesel modifications, which officially appeared in Russia. Some discontent among Prado fans was caused by the fact that the figure of the car underwent significant changes - in comparison with the taut instances of the previous 120th version, it looks somewhat swollen and thickened. The reason for the heavier look of the car was also an elongated rear spoiler, a sharper outline of the wheel arches, a deepened hood, which, however, is typical of the entire updated Land Cruiser 2012 lineup.

The slightly increased boarding height can be adjusted if necessary with the help of an adjustable air suspension, which allows you to make the process of boarding and disembarking passengers comfortable. The interior design of the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 150 has also changed. It was equipped with a navigation unit with a touchscreen, a separate climate control system, an audio system unit that supports MP3 and DVD and has a 6-disc changer. In addition, the armrest has inputs iPOD, USB and AUX.

The most significant change is the disappearance of the mechanical differential lock lever , which has been replaced by an electronic button. But lovers of skiing in the sandy desert or marshy terrain should not worry - the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 150 is still equipped with a mechanical limited-slip differential Torsen. Only the system that controls it has changed.

Passengers in the rear seat can now feel even more comfortable than those in front. They can independently use a separate climate control system, and they have at their disposal an impressive sofa with an adjustable tilt of the seatbacks, comfortable armrests and cup holders.

A modified impression is made by the modified glazing, which began to look neater. Now it has ceased to look like an aquarium, even if the glass is not tinted. The new tailgate, which gives a complete and clear view to a symmetrical object, has also been successfully thought out. The handle that opens the fifth door has now become invisible - it was hidden in a niche for the license plate frame.
