As the decoration of a single-level ceiling, materials such as water-based paint, acrylic, putty, wallpaper are most often used. If desired, a sheet of drywall can even be painted with patterns. If the walls are less than 3 meters high, it is recommended to abandon dark shades, as this will visually narrow the space. The most relevant will be light, muted colors.
Single-level ceilings can be made quite original by adding decorative lighting. There are several ways to do this. You can install the lighting elements simply along the walls, hiding them on the cornice attached to them, or make it in the form of a pattern of LEDs on the surface of the coating. Drywall ceiling in the kitchen
As already mentioned above, a kitchen is not the best idea for using a plasterboard ceiling. But if there are no other coating options besides drywall, then it is recommended to apply water-repellent enamel to protect against moisture. Also, a pvc film is suitable for this, which must be glued over the entire ceiling. The simplest solution is to use GCR not for the entire space, but only in those places where steam does not get. If a chandelier is preferred as a lighting fixture, you should be careful when buying. Firstly, it must be resistant to high humidity. Secondly, since the chandelier will be placed in the kitchen, in any case, food fumes will settle on it, so it should be very easy to remove, disassemble and clean.
Drywall ceiling in the hall
The living room is an ideal option for the embodiment of all design projects. There is room for imagination here, and you no longer need to worry about high humidity. A multi-level ceiling made of drywall with lighting will perfectly complement any style. The design is not only very beautiful, but also very functional. There are many options. You can perform decorative illumination above the sofa and add the “upper” main light and even set additional decorative lighting.

If with the help of the GKL-design it is required to achieve a visual increase in the room, it is recommended to place the upper part of the ceiling in the center and create a kind of narrow frame from the lower level. This will visually make the walls higher and the space itself wider. However, the voluminous chandelier does not fit here, you will have to do with spot lighting.
As for the chandelier, all ideas can be easily implemented. In the living room, massive ornate plafonds will be appropriate, which will add atmospheric. But if you stick to the classic options in the design, you can choose a neat suspension design. To visually narrow the room, two identical chandeliers must be placed symmetrically on the ceiling. GKL in the bedroom
When designing a bedroom, calm tones and smooth design must be sustained. In this zone, the eyes should rest, so there is no point in bizarre bright forms. Pastel shades and warm lighting will fit perfectly. Here you can safely use fragments of photo wallpaper with the image of the sky, clouds or stars. Planet lovers can deploy a whole "space" on their ceiling.
Bright neon appliances are best left for the living room or game room. A bulky chandelier above the bed is not recommended. It is also worth abandoning contrasting details and gloomy figures. In good construction stores, there is a separate department with chandeliers for the bedroom. Usually they are small in size, without extra details. Do not neglect bedside lighting for added comfort - floor lamps, sconces, etc.

GKL in the nursery
The main rule of the children's room is a lot of free space. Therefore, overloading the room with elements is not recommended. Let the room remain spacious and even a bit empty. If the space itself is not very large, then the intricate plasterboard ceiling with backlight should be abandoned. Moreover, the children's psyche can associate ceiling levels as a threat.
There is a place for large details if the children's room is too large. For a small area, a single-level ceiling made of thin sheets of drywall is a good solution. For a good mood, the baby is recommended to use light spring colors in the decoration, and the light is as close to natural as possible. In general, the room should be made in a milky yellow style.
As for the choice of a lighting device, there is one important point here - the chandelier must be completely safe. Therefore, it is foolish to hang a large crystal structure. The best option would be a plastic and textile shade. Depending on the style of design, you can "play" with the form. It can be both classic lamps and original thematic devices - a luminous “ball”, “flower”, etc.
GKL for an entrance hall and a corridor
The rooms, which occupy a smaller part of the entire area, are an entrance hall and a corridor. But despite this, these zones are the first thing the guest pays attention to. A variety of colors or patterns will be superfluous here. Ceilings should be neutral, monophonic. So that the space does not seem gloomy, it is better to place lighting devices around the entire perimeter. Spotlights or neon ribbons are great for this.
If you really want to hang a chandelier, then you can only allow small structures. If the soul still asks for some kind of originality in design, then you can develop an arched vault or a two-level design, but only on condition that the size of the room allows this to be done without damage.
