The Toyota Verso auto minivan of the 2013 model year was first presented to the public at the 2012 international auto show in Paris. According to the developers themselves, the updated minivan has undergone more than 450 improvements. Not only the design of the machine has changed, but also the technical characteristics. In our review, we will consider all the features of the new Toyota Verso.
Design
If you compare the new product with its previous generations, the Toyota minivan of the 2013 model line has undergone many changes regarding the exterior. The front of the car now found triangular headlights, a narrow grille with sharp and at the same time stylish lines. The headlight unit smoothly transitions to embossed wings, and the front bumper has now become more aerodynamic. Moreover, its design is so wide that the entire bumper seems to merge with the roadbed. Such unusual design solutions allowed to give the car the appearance of a sports car.
Interior
The internal part, in contrast to the external appearance, has undergone fewer changes. A quick glance in the interior of the novelty does not at all notice new details, but nevertheless they are, and they should be noted. Among the updates, it is worth highlighting the presence of a white backlight on the dashboard (recall that in the pre-styling version it was orange). Black accents adorning the large 6.1-inch touchscreen display are also noticeable, and the ventilation deflectors now have a beautiful chrome trim.
The installation trend of chrome inserts is seen on the front dashboard and door handles. As for the seats, this time they became more comfortable thanks to the new location of the side support rollers, and the upholstery became more pleasant to the touch.
Specifications
The new Toyota minivan will be equipped with 5 engines (three diesel and two gasoline). Among them, it is worth noting diesel units with a capacity of 126, 150 and 177 horsepower and a working volume of 2.0, 2.2, and again 2.2 liters, respectively. Unfortunately, the German manufacturer is in no hurry to supply a diesel line of engines to the Russian market, and therefore domestic motorists have a chance to buy a car with only a gasoline engine. The line of gasoline units consists of two engines. The first of them has a capacity of 132 horsepower and a working volume of 1.6 liters. The second engine with a working volume of 1.8 liters develops a capacity of 147 βhorsesβ. Motors are equipped with two types of transmissions - a six-speed manual or CVT.
