Questions

Often, entities involved in the movement of goods are interested in when and in which place they are required to issue a transit declaration. This document must accompany all material values of non-European origin, as well as those arriving from European warehouses transported through the territory of the EEC. A declaration for goods arriving by land is filled out at the border of the EEC if they come from outside. Registration is carried out by the supplier, its agent or the representative of the forwarder, if material values came from the internal warehouse of the vehicle. With regard to goods arriving by air or sea from countries that are not members of the EEC, the document is prepared directly at the airport or at the place of arrival by an authorized person. If the object was shipped from the EU by plane and it requires a declaration, it is provided by the sender. An air waybill may be issued with a special mark.

Conclusion

A transit declaration is considered a binding document accompanying goods from abroad. It should be noted that at present the procedure for transporting material assets has been substantially tightened. In accordance with it, the rules for filling out documentation are also given. Accompanying papers can be issued both manually and using technical means. In the first case, the information should be accessible for reading and understanding. It should be remembered that the provisions of the TC TC do not allow corrections and strikethroughs in the document. In general, filling out a declaration does not present any difficulties, especially for those who constantly carry out the movement of material assets across the border. Nevertheless, in order to avoid any problems, it is necessary to regularly study the updates of normative acts regulating the issues of goods clearance. For those who have not previously encountered the transit procedure, it is advisable to contact special agencies that provide assistance in filling out the accompanying documentation.
