You can make a lot of tasty dishes from melon, and desserts are especially tasty: fruit salad, jelly, ice cream, sorbet and jam. All these sweets are distinguished by a delicate taste and exquisite aroma.

Recipes

Melon billets. Jam.

To prepare it, take:

  • A kilogram of melon.
  • Glass of water.
  • One and a half kilograms of sugar.
  • 3 grams of citric acid.
  • 5 grams of vanillin.

Wash the melon thoroughly in water, peel it and remove all seeds. Cut the flesh into small cubes and blanch them in boiling water for five minutes. After this, drain the water, cool the melon pieces. From syrup and water, prepare syrup and fill them with cooled cubes. For 7 hours, leave the jam to let the juice. Then boil it over low heat, cook for two minutes, remove from heat and leave for 5 hours. After this time, again boil the jam from the melon and leave it to stand for the whole night (12 hours). After this, boil it again, add a little citric acid and vanillin, mix thoroughly and pour into sterilized jars.

Melon and apple jam.

To prepare, take:

  • 2 kg pulp of melon.
  • A kilogram of sugar.
  • 700gr. apples (peeled).
  • A teaspoon of lemon zest.

Wash the melon and apples well. Trim the peel and remove the seeds. Cut the melon into pieces and chop it in a blender. In an enameled saucepan over low heat, cook the mashed potatoes with sugar until it begins to thicken a little. Do not forget to remove the foam.

Cut the peeled apples into small pieces and pour in the jam. Boil the melon-apple mass again and leave it on the stove for another five minutes. Pour the resulting sweet mass into jars hot.

Melon and banana jam.

To prepare it, stock up on the following products:

  • 750 grams of melon.
  • 400 grams of bananas.
  • 800 grams of sugar.
  • 2 lemons.
  • Glass of water.

Wash the melon and cut it into four parts. Remove seeds, peel, cut flesh into pieces. Place the melon slices in a bowl, cover with sugar, cover with a towel and leave to insist overnight. Then transfer the sweet mass to the pan, pour in the lemon juice there, mix well and cook the mixture for half an hour on low heat.

Cut the second lemon and bananas into thin slices, which are then added to the melon jam. Cook until the fruit is soft and the mass itself thickens. After that, remove the jam from the heat, cool it a little and put it in jars.

Melon dishes are not limited to sweets. This product can make a wonderful salad. Not many people know, melon can still be pickled.

Pickled melon.

Take 1 liter of water, 1 liter of vinegar (5%), 700 gr. sugar, a spoonful of salt, 8 tablespoons of honey, cinnamon, 10pcs. cloves, allspice. Mix all the ingredients and boil the marinade.

Cut the melon into 2 parts, remove the seeds, and cut off the skin. Dice the pulp into cubes. Put the melon slices over the jars and pour in the pre-prepared chilled marinade. Roll up jars and sterilize them for at least half an hour, and they should be stored in a cool place.

Salad with melon, asparagus and jamon.

For this meal you will need:

  • 60 gr melons (pulp).
  • A tablespoon of oil (olive).
  • 100 gr. cognac.
  • 60 gr Asparagus
  • 40 gr butter.
  • 40 gr mushrooms (white).
  • Ham jamon - 40g.
  • Balsamic vinegar.

Remove the ends from the asparagus and blanch it in water with a little sugar and salt. Peel and cut the mushrooms, and then fry them in oil (olive). Dice the melon. Ham - stripes, which are then roll. Pour cognac into the pan and evaporate it 1/3, add oil to the field, wait until it melts, and add a drop of balsamic vinegar. Put the sauce on the plate, then asparagus, melon and ham jamon.

The dish is ready.
