A very popular singer Timur Mutsuraev, whose biography was supposed to be filled with sports achievements and victories rather than songs, was born on July 25, 1976 in the city of Grozny (in the family village of Novye Atagi).
Childhood
From early childhood, Timur went in for sports. “A healthy body is a healthy mind” - Timur Mutsuraev followed this principle. His life was inextricably linked with sports. He constantly trained, strengthened not only the body, but also the spirit. Sports activities brought the boy the result already at 15 years old. Engaged in such a difficult martial arts as karate, he became the champion of Chechen-Ingushetia. Moreover, Timur strengthened his title by speaking at competitions of a larger scale, in Russia, in 1993. The young athlete was predicted a brilliant sports career. But she was not destined to materialize.

In December 1994, war broke out. Timur Mutsuraev joined the ranks of the resistance movement. His biography resembles some separate compartments in which the past is not connected with the present: sport, a member of the Resistance, a musician. Mutsuraev fought on the central front. Was injured. The tragedy of the country was a test of fortitude not only for fighters, but also for the entire population. But Timur Mutsuraev (photos are shown) withstood him with honor and dignity. A slight passion for youth, one can even say pampering with a guitar, has now become his real vocation.

His songs are captivating with a certain sincerity, a unique timbre of voice, content. When Timur sings, it can be understood that his works are not empty words, they have meaning, perhaps the meaning of the whole life of everyone who went through the war. The democratic manner of performance and, of course, the gift that, no matter how you bury it, you still can’t hide, have added fans not only at home, but also in Russia.
Few people know that during the fighting, cassettes with recordings of Timur were sold in the markets of Grozny and dispersed throughout the country. This excitement is due to the fact that Timur performed all his works in Russian.
Russian director Alexei Balabanov in his film “War” used Mutsuraev’s song “Jerusalem”. Timur Mutsuraev, whose biography more than once made steep turns, became known far beyond the borders of his homeland. It is simply amazing how great the word is. After all, in fact, no one will even remember that once, being quite young, Timur became a karate champion. But his songs, which made so much noise during the war, are remembered by many, and will be remembered for a very long time.
