Tager. Vehicle Specifications

An analogue of an already obsolete car of the Korean brand, assembled in Russia, outwardly strongly reminiscent of an American SUV of the early 90s, it would seem that few people are attracted. Again, Russians find a twist in projects that have already “seen the world”. Now this happened with SsangYong Korando, who, having changed citizenship, received Rostov registration and new “passport data”. Meet the Tager.

TagAZ Tager, the technical characteristics of which have not changed compared to the original, first left the assembly line in 2008. Appearance surprised others, and ambiguously. It was immediately clear that it was not created to conquer everyone at once with its external data. It is not like everyone else, although it looks like one of the models of the compact Wrangler, but few know about it.

The SUV stands out from the gray mass by a long hood, because of which it is often called a “crocodile-like”, narrowly planted round headlights (not fashionable, but most importantly, the light is good) and the isolation of the front wings. "Tager" - a jeep, a classic from the history of the design of SUVs. Further details of the present are clearly visible - the steps and strips of the side lights stretch from the grille to the arches of the front wheels.

It is only in photographs that it is small and so compact - a Tager jeep. Specifications prove the opposite. In reality, this is a fairly serious SUV, corresponding to the volume of modern cars of the "parquet" class. Inside there are five full places. The rear seats are quite functional and allow not only to fold out a rather big sofa, but can be removed in a matter of minutes, which makes it possible to carry goods. Thus, the 350-liter boot turns into a 1,200-liter space.

The Taganrog Tiger, aka Tager is a jeep, and many are interested in the capabilities of this car in difficult terrain, and how this SUV behaves in everyday, urban conditions.

The salon, despite its practicality, gives the impression of security and reliability. Still, sitting in a real short-range jeep with a connected front axle, everyone wants a thrill. Looking for good emotions for little money? Take the "TagAZ Tager". Specifications indicate a height of 1840 mm, and this is more than enough for off-road.

The patency of the "Tagan Tiger" is compared with the UAZ (Patriot does not count) and the good Niva. I would like to note that the latter passed the first and second generation Land Rover extreme conditions tests. Consider the Tager in more detail. Specifications exclude information about hard cross-axle locks. In the new "Russian jeep" there is a central lock, which is created due to the lack of an interaxle differential. Patency to the car is ensured by a limited slip differential (in the rear axle), a multiplier, a well-thought axle load and geometry.

The city dynamics are pleasant - acceleration is fast and uniform until the fourth gear, then the “German heart” under the hood starts to weaken the agility.

What can be said about the main advantages that TagAZ Tager is endowed with? Characteristics are supported by the fact that he, like the Ssan-Yen, has a licensed Mercedes-Benz engine. In each configuration, whether it be a “four” or “six”, motors are introduced that have been tested for strength many years ago. They are powerful, reliable and ... "gluttonous." Consumption in the city can reach 20 l / 100 km.

To date, an all-terrain vehicle from TagAZ is available with the following units: gasoline “four” - a 2.3 liter engine (150 hp) and the most popular powerful six-cylinder gasoline engine (3.2 liter for 220 hp).

In general, the car is more than affordable at the price in accordance with requests for an SUV as a fearless wanderer in places where there are no roads as such. Do not be afraid of obstacles - this is what TagAZ Tager is capable of. Characteristics correspond to cars of its class. Reliability? It is much higher than that of domestic brands, and the level of comfort pleases a considerable number of car owners for almost five years.
