When an admission campaign starts in Barnaul and other cities of the Altai Territory, applicants begin to study the educational institutions that they offer training areas. Creative personalities immediately pay attention to such an institution as the Altai State Academy of Culture and Arts (currently it is called the Institute of Culture). What faculties and specialties are there?
Past educational institution
In the mid-70s, the Institute of Culture appeared in the capital of Altai Krai. It was erected in accordance with the order of the Council of Ministers and with the aim of training specialists for the creative side of life. The university existed and developed for several years. In 1995, its name changed. It began to be called the Altai Institute of Arts and Culture.
An important year in the history of an educational institution is 2005. The university has changed status. The institute was replaced by an academy. This testified to the fact that the institution is developing, giving its students a quality education. With this status, the educational organization lasted 10 years. In 2015, the university again became an institute. However, many still call it the academy.
Altai State Academy of Culture and Arts: faculties

Acquaintance with the choreographic faculty
The choreographic structural unit of AHACI (Altai State Academy of Culture and Arts) was created in 1989. The appearance of the faculty is associated with the opening of the department in the institution, which taught ballroom dancing. In 2000, a new training area was created related to modern dances.
Currently, university entrants are offered a choice between folk art culture and choreographic art. Both areas are undergraduate. The term of study for them is 4 years.

This structural unit takes its roots in 1975. Previously, it was called the library and information faculty. However, in 2005 it became clear that this name no longer fits. The reason for this was to expand the list of educational services, the opening of new specialties.

This structural unit has been operating since the foundation of a higher educational institution in Barnaul. Over the years, it has changed its name several times.
