Marychev Vyacheslav Antonovich is a well-known Russian politician who became famous in the early 90s. Many consider him the most shocking and extraordinary representative of power in the entire history of the LDPR. However, only a few know how complicated this person’s life was outside the camera lenses.
Childhood and youthful dreams
Marychev Vyacheslav Antonovich was born in Moscow on September 21, 1939. The boy’s childhood can hardly be called merry, as it passed under the roar of German guns. Only at the end of the war, when the cities began to rebuild, the life of little Vyacheslav was full of joyful events.
From a young age, he dreamed that he would become a great actor. His romantic nature was visible in everything: in the nobility of actions, in the unusual style of clothing and in endless conversations about the beautiful. Looking at all this, the parents realized that in the future their son would choose a creative profession.
Work for the good of the Soviet Union
The Marychev family belonged to the estate of ordinary workers. Father worked as a house painter at the plant. Lenin in Moscow, and her mother nursed the children in kindergarten. Their salaries were barely enough to feed their families. Therefore, the very young Vyacheslav decided to help them, getting a job at the same factory as his father.
In 1957, Marychev Vyacheslav was drafted into the ranks of the Soviet Army. He served in the Navy. He returned home in 1962, with the rank of senior sailor. However, the young man did not want to live with his parents. He was sure that it was time to start his own path, and therefore he soon moved to Leningrad.
Upon arrival, he takes a job as a mechanic at the Leningrad Steel Rolling Plant. Alas, the work does not bring him proper pleasure. Therefore, in 1965, Marychev Vyacheslav entered the music school at the Leningrad State Conservatory. And here he finally takes up the task of his dreams - acting.
Cultural activities
Vyacheslav Marychev graduated from the College of Music in 1967. Almost immediately after that he entered the Petrozavodsk Drama Theater. But the viewer treated him rather coldly. It’s not that the young artist did not have talent, rather, he was not the star that would blind everyone around.
Therefore, in 1969, he left the theater in order to go as manager to one of the Leningrad Culture Houses. And that was his place. Vyacheslav Marychev quickly proved himself as a reliable specialist, able to competently organize cultural events.
In 1973, he graduated from the Higher Trade Union School at the All-Union Central Council of Trade Unions (AUCCTU). The specialty “methodologist-organizer of educational and cultural work of the highest qualification” is chosen as the main direction. After that, until 1991, he was engaged in the development of the Kirovsky Palace and the Positron Palace of Culture.
The beginning of a political career
Since the fall of 1988, opposition political parties began to take place in the Kirovsky Palace of Culture. These meetings were led by such famous personalities as Boris Yeltsin and Alexander Nevzorov. Their speeches and ideas were so fiery and inspiring that Vyacheslav Marychev soon became very enthusiastic about changing the country for the better.
In 1990, he was elected to the Vasileostrovsky District Council. But as soon as he got used to new responsibilities, Russia was swept by a wave of changes that followed the collapse of the Soviet Union. At this moment, Vyacheslav Marychev realized - his homeland is entering a new era, the well-being of which depends on his efforts. And therefore, he decides to take a very risky step - a trip to big politics.
Vyacheslav Marychev - deputy of the LDPR
In 1991, Vyacheslav Antonovich joined the ranks of the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia (LDPR). At that time, it was a young organization that was just gaining its popularity. But her views and politics fully reflected the worldview that Marychev adhered to.
It should be noted that the charismatic politician quickly made his way into the party elite. Due to this, in 1992 he was appointed coordinator of the LDPR in St. Petersburg. True, he was not allowed to run for this district, as the party leadership decided that Alexander Nevzorov was much better suited for this role.
But even so, Vyacheslav Marychev could still influence many political decisions in the country. His party was one of the leaders in the Russian parliament, and the opinion of the deputy had significant weight in it. In addition, the politician enjoyed unprecedented popularity among the common population, which further strengthened his authority.
Sunset career
In the mid-90s, every Russian knew Vyacheslav Marychev. Mostly because he loved to play in public. Quite often, he put on various costumes and came to parliament in them. For example, there are cases when Marychev dressed up as a priest, military, homeless, and even glued his chest. Perhaps someone would think that he was just a buffoon. But the truth is that these costumes symbolized specific problems that the authorities simply did not want to notice.
Alas, ultimately his fame played a cruel joke with him. In February 1994, Vladimir Zhirinovsky ensured that Vyacheslav Marychev expelled from the LDPR. According to the official version, the reason for this was the "narcissism" of politics. However, many experts are convinced that the head of the LDPR simply could not come to terms with the fact that his party has a personality more vivid than he is.
The last days
After leaving the LDPR, Vyacheslav Marychev several times tried to create his own political force. But nothing came of it. Pressure from the operating giants simply drowned out all his undertakings. Moreover, in 1993, his son disappeared in Chechnya. The politician did everything possible to find him, but there was no hope, and this greatly undermined his spirit.
Over the years, people have begun to forget who Vyacheslav Marychev is. The biography of the politician came to the moment when no one needed him. However, even after that he did not give up. All the time a man spent on helping ordinary people solve their problems.
In the winter of 2001, Marychev began to investigate a case related to the illegal activities of the administration of St. Petersburg. As a result, unknown persons beat him in their own apartment. This incident greatly shook the health of the former politician. Soon he had his first stroke, and less than a year later - the second.
After that, Vyacheslav Marychev lost the opportunity to speak. And on June 24, 2006 his heart stopped forever.
