The small wooden temple of Seraphim of Sarov in Ivanovo is a real cult landmark of the city. This Orthodox shrine is especially revered by local residents and is one of the favorite places visited by tourists of various faiths.
Temple description
The wooden one-throne church in the name of Seraphim of Sarov was founded in 2003. The consecration of the temple and the first liturgy were held in the summer of 2003. And in 2009, a monumental bronze sculpture was installed at the main entrance to the parish of God, the venerable seraph of God.
The church is built on the site of an abandoned wasteland and is surrounded by typical residential buildings. Construction was led by the city architect Vlasov. Despite its small area, the temple surprises visitors with prayer coziness and grandeur.
A complex of wooden architectural structures was built on the territory adjacent to the church, which housed a Sunday school, lecture hall, refectory, advisory center and church shop.
Near the temple building a summer playground was equipped and a beautiful pond was dug, in which fish and turtles live. The nearest territory is fully ennobled and accessible for cultural recreation of citizens.

The doors of the temple of Seraphim of Sarov (Ivanovo) are open for parishioners every day from 9:00 to 18:00.
Church services are held as follows:
- 06:45 - Divine Liturgy (Sundays and holidays);
- 09:00 - morning liturgy;
- 16:00 - evening service.
The sacrament of Baptism, the funeral service for the dead and other requirements are carried out as necessary.
