In 2005, the Brothers Grimm group turned around the idea of ​​Russian rock among all listeners of the Russian Radio station. It seemed that their composition “Eyelashes” was in the air. She came from the windows of cars, sounded in minibuses, rustled in the player, in general - an absolute hit. And "Grimm", in turn, turned into a favorite of the public. Extraordinary guys with red hair immediately riveted not only the "ears" of good music lovers, but also the eyes of Russian stars of show business.
How the team was created
Two red-haired Samara brothers Konstantin and Boris Burdaevs from childhood were fond of music. At the age of eight, they began their journey in the magical world of music. And already in 1998, the Brothers Grimm group was created. The family band was gaining popularity in his native Samara. The first concert was given at the local Medical and Technical Lyceum. Each year, the song baggage of the group grew. The guys decided to "take" the capital.
Three years later, the guys rolled to Moscow and performed with their project Bossanova Band. True popularity came by chance. Several recordings of musicians fell into the hands of Leonid Burlakov. Within a few days, the cheerful twins were at the Moscow station, they were met by the future producer. From that moment on, everything spun as if by magic. The guys have already recorded several songs within a week and began to give live concerts.
Clips and songs
From 2005–2010 Brothers Grimm released 4 albums: Brothers Grimm, Illusion, Martians, and Wings of the Titan. During this period, six clips for the most popular songs were recorded. The guys received the Golden Gramophone award, became laureates of the Song of the Year and received the Popov Prize as the most rotated band. The group became the best according to the radio "Maximum".
The success story was simply breathtaking for the Brothers Grimm team. The group, the clips of which were as extraordinary as the performers themselves, conquered all the country's TV channels.
The popularity was enormous. Today, recalling these days, Konstantin Burdaev says that he was even prone to star fever, and he is ashamed of some of his interviews and arrogant actions.
Quarrel
In 2009, at the peak of popularity, the team ceased to exist. Why the Brothers Grimm group broke up, no one knew. According to the official version, the guys quarreled over the name of the group. Some fans decided that the brothers decided to go their separate ways amicably, but this was not so. Under the pressure of problems in the team, Boris decided to take a creative vacation. And Kostya continued to perform, and a few days after the departure of his partner, he performed solo in one of the capital's clubs. During the year, the group worked in an updated composition and even changed its name to Grimm. But due to the rejection by fans and organizers of the new name, Konstantin had to return to the old version of the name of the collective, as it is called to this day.
In 2010, Konstantin Burdaev’s wife suddenly died - Lesya Krieg. The musician went deeper into creativity.
Brother Boris remained in Samara all this time, he even created the LIRRIKA team. But you cannot call him successful. In 2014, the quarrel between the brothers turned into a public conflict. Boris decided to claim the first three albums of the band, insisting that they were written by him. But the manager of the Brothers Grimm group stated that he had filed a lawsuit and asserted his rights.
The Grimm Brothers today
Over six years of independent performances, Kostya, along with his colleagues, presented six video works and one album to the audience. The current team has become much more compact and has been updated almost completely. It consists of only four people - these are Konstantin Burdaev, Dmitry Kondrev, Stas Tsaler and Valery Zagorsky. Thus, the Brothers Grimm is a musical group that managed to become a legend of Russian pop rock in just a few months, almost completely mutated. The repertoire of the “brothers” has also changed. Music has become lighter and even more positive.
In 2015, the guys recorded a new album called “Favorite Music”. The new album did not repeat its former success, despite the similarity of the musical style. Perhaps, having reunited again, taking will be at the peak of popularity. Although there is no certainty about this development of events, the real fans of the group hope for a reconciliation of their idols.
