However, the mother had a prophetic dream: she saw a beautiful white bird sitting on her chest, which had no eyes. Pilgrimage
Having the gift of God, Matron saved many people and was very kind to them. She had a bright face and a very affectionate voice. She stroked her head, comforted and imposed her sign of the Cross, and this made people feel better at heart, they were comforted and calmed down. Although she herself was very ill, no one heard complaints from her.
Being very young, Matron, along with the daughter of a local landowner, Lydia Yankova, made a pilgrimage to the holy places. They visited the Kiev-Pechersk and St. Petersburg Trinity-Sergius Lavra, as well as other holy places in Russia.
Matron in 1899 visited the Kronstadt Cathedral. There, St. John of Kronstadt, at the end of the service, asked all the parishioners to part and let Matron go, and said: “Matronushka, come and come to me. Here comes my shift - the eighth pillar of Russia. ”
Revolution. Moscow
When the revolution of 1917 took place, Matron and her friend and patroness Lidia Yankova were completely impoverished, left without a livelihood and without a roof over their heads. In 1925, Matrona moved to the capital and began to live wherever she needed: with acquaintances, friends, but not with her siblings, who became communists.
War
From 1942 to 1949, the Monk Matrona lived with her fellow villagers - E. M. Zhdanova and her daughter Zinaida. For many years, there is a legend that was described in the book of memoirs of Zinaida Zhdanova "The Legend of Matron." During World War II, there was a serious threat of the capture of the capital by German fascists, Stalin himself came to Matron. She predicted the victory of the Russian people and said that he would not leave one of the entire authorities and would remain in Moscow.
