This car is a sports version of the usual "dvenashki". It differs not only in the performance of the body (three-door hatchback), but also in the technical “stuffing”. It was produced in limited copies in the early and mid 2000s.

Design

A distinctive feature of the VAZ-21128 is the body. Yes, it is not made of carbon fiber and does not have a reinforced frame. But the layout itself makes you look attractive. Previously, from the "three-door" it was possible to meet only the "eights" and "shirts". VAZ "tenth" of the family was deprived of this layout. This is done in order to reduce the vibration load of the motor and preserve the inertia of the crank. The 1.8-liter engine block itself is 2 millimeters higher than the factory one. All these improvements have increased the torque from 137 to 160 Nm. The machine is characterized by high throttle response and thrust. Acceleration to hundreds is 10 and a half seconds. For comparison: the stock "dvenashka" produced a parameter of 12 and a half (moreover, on a 16-valve engine). The maximum speed increased to 200 kilometers per hour.

Transmission consumption

For example, all the same drums are used at the back. Although the front diameter of the disk was increased for the installation of 15-inch alloy wheels (as practice has shown, the arches also contain the 17th, only on a lower profile).

The steering remains the same. In addition, a power steering is provided here. It is not equipped with a servotronic (the steering wheel does not get heavier with increasing speed), so for better handling you need to set wide tires.

Price

Unfortunately, the mass production of these machines has long ceased. And they were produced only in limited series. For the entire period of the history of the model, only 50 copies were released. There were also two-liter versions with the Opel engine (based on the "tens" sedan), but they do not belong to this topic. Indeed, in the first case, the engineers were finalizing the VAZ engine, and in the second they just bought a ready-made unit from the Germans.

If you plunge into history, then for the new model in 2003 they asked from 287 to 327 thousand rubles. This is about ten thousand dollars at the current rate.
