Not only discussions began, but also the preparation of the bill. In May, the bill failed in parliament, because the opposition defended it.

After the victory of the Maidan and the formation of a new government, this matter was given a move. On March 5, 2014, the journalist Tatyana Chernovol became the head of the Anti-Corruption Bureau, because she is known in Ukraine as an ardent supporter of investigations of abuses of officials close to power. Officially, her position is called "Commissioner of the Government of Ukraine for Anti-Corruption Policy."

In a new post, Tatyana Chernovol developed an active activity aimed at combating corruption. According to the results of work in the first two weeks, the bureau revealed two corruption schemes. One of them concerned the activities of the State Architectural and Construction Control (GASK). The second scheme was aimed at monopolizing the valuation market, as a result, the work of the State Property Fund was taken under control. The Anti-Corruption Bureau handed over the collected materials on these cases to law enforcement agencies and intends to monitor the progress of the investigation.
