Birch juice. Unusual, tasty, healthy.

For many, birch sap is associated precisely with the Soviet era, when it was one of the cheapest natural juices and was procured on an industrial scale. Now not everyone will understand what it is about, but then the youth’s favorite joke was to ask for birch juice with pulp in the store.

To date, it is no longer produced in such large quantities, and the modern young generation does not even imagine what juice tastes like. Environmentalists and doctors continue to discuss the benefits and dangers of this product. However, an indisputable fact is that it is birch sap that contains a huge amount of vitamins, minerals, organic acids and polysaccharides. It includes biological stimulants and enzymes that have the most beneficial effect on our immunity. It contains digestible fructose and glucose, which is so beneficial for brain activity. There are many anti-inflammatory tannins, as well as magnesium, calcium and potassium, necessary for good cardiac activity. Thanks to this, the benefits of birch sap become undeniable. It is ideal during the period of spring vitamin deficiency, it is liked by children and adults, it is recommended for general improvement for all people.

This wonderful drink lacks such strong allergens as in citrus juices, so lactating mothers and pregnant women can safely drink it. During pregnancy, it not only helps to strengthen the immune system, but also fights against edema, as it has a mild diuretic effect. In addition, birch sap helps to cure some specific diseases. Thanks to the same diuretic abilities, it is used for kidney failure and inflammatory diseases of the kidneys. With caution, it should be consumed in the presence of urolithiasis, as this can lead to an attack of renal colic caused by the movement of stones.

The benefits of birch sap are the ability to cleanse the blood and remove various toxic substances from the body. It helps a lot with all kinds of intoxications and recovery after them. In the case of infectious diseases, juice helps to suppress the development of infection, quickly removes toxins released by pathogens, improves immunity and overall well-being. People suffering from low acidity are advised to drink birch sap daily, three times a day, one glass each. With its help, the secretion of digestive fluids in the body increases. It is also used in cosmetology to cleanse the skin, strengthen hair and in the fight against dandruff.

It turns out that, with the exception of a possible allergy to birch pollen, this wonderful drink has practically no contraindications. But all these useful properties apply only to fresh juice collected in an ecologically clean place. More harm than good will bring birch sap, collected in industrial areas or along highways. This is explained by the fact that this delicate tree absorbs not only minerals, vitamins and other useful substances, but also can not withstand the heavy metals that are present in large quantities in these areas. It also makes no sense to buy juice in stores. When processed, it loses most of its beneficial properties and becomes only a tasty drink, no more.

Get the juice as follows. On a tree, not less than twenty centimeters from the ground, a small square is cut. The cutting area must first be cleaned. Next, drill a small recess in three to four centimeters and insert a tube into it. Juice flows quite quickly, it remains only to substitute a jar. After collecting the juice, the incision is clogged with moss or sealed with wax tightly to prevent the entry of fungi or bacteria. It is such a fresh juice filled with healing properties, has a slightly sweet and incredibly refreshing taste. It is recommended to store it no more than two days in a cool place, and for a healthy person it is enough to drink only one glass a day. Correct its taste by adding decoctions, vegetable or fruit juices, strengthen immunity and be healthy.
