Young years
On May 12, 1960, Alexander Tolmatsky was born in the capital of the Soviet Union. After school, he enters the Institute of National Economy. Plekhanov. At the same time, the young man begins to organize various music concerts, most often underground. Among the groups performing on the stage were the now famous “Time Machine” and “Leap Year”. It was 1977. It was then that Soviet citizens first encountered such a foreign concept as a disco.
In 1982, Alexander Tolmatsky became a disc jockey in the House of Culture of one of the Moscow plants under the name "Hammer and Sickle". In an interview, the producer admits that he had a tape recorder and amplifier as working equipment. There was no talk of any vinyl records. A disco called "World Travel" was known not only in Moscow, but also in the suburbs. This lesson brings Alexander a good profit, part of which he directs to the further development of the capital’s musical art, and part - to illegal activities in tailoring and selling jeans.
Hip Hop and Team Promotion

Other projects
After some time, the company “Mediastar” appears in Moscow, the main activity of which is the production of musical groups and other commercial projects. One of the founders of the company is Alexander Tolmatsky. His other merits include the successful influence on the formation and development of the NEXT-FM radio station and the Muz-TV channel.
