- Onion husk.
- Sugar - 1 tablespoon.
- Salt - 3 tablespoons.
- Water - 1 liter.
- Liquid smoke - 100 ml.

Recipe
Fish should be thawed, cleaned, trimmed tail and fins, rinse the carcass well. Next, brew onion peel. To do this, fill it with water, and then bring it to a boil, boil over low heat for ten minutes.
After this, the husk needs to be removed and added so much water that a total of one liter of liquid is obtained. Add salt and sugar. Now let the broth cool completely, and add liquid smoke.
Take an empty plastic bottle, cut off the neck. There should fit one fish, and in order to enter two pieces, it is better to take a two-liter container.
Fill our fish with the mixture, close the hole tightly with a film and put in the refrigerator for three days. After the lapse of time we will take it out of the liquid, suspend it to dry for a couple of hours. Then grease with vegetable oil and put in the refrigerator. Here the fish is ready. She tastes of a beautiful smoked product, and the color is beautiful. Such a carcass will produce a wonderful fish cut.
However, remember that such a product is not designed for long-term storage. It is better to eat the fish for two days, and then cook fresh.
How to pickle herring?
Using this recipe, you will always get a good result. So, we have to purchase these products:
- Fresh-frozen herring - 1 kg.
To fill:
- Onion - 3 pieces.
- Water - 10 tablespoons.
- Sugar - 1 tsp.
- Salt - 2 tbsp. l
- Black pepper (ground) - 0.5 tsp.
- Table vinegar (9%) - 3 tbsp. l
- Ketchup - 2 tbsp. l
- Vegetable oil - half a cup.
We chop the onion rings, add the products for pouring, boil it all together with the onion. Let the mixture cool and taste.
Now take the herring, clean it, separate the fillet, and then cut it into pieces. Next, we put the fish in a jar or an enameled pan and pour our fill there. We will remove all this in the refrigerator, and in a day you can safely get a herring. She is ready.
How to decorate the cut?
Like any dish, fish slices can be decorated with vegetables and fruits. Nobody forbids you to combine different products. For example, you can cut roses from cucumbers, radishes, apples. Do not forget about the branches of greenery - they will add brightness to the dish.
