How to assemble a sponge cake?
Once our biscuit and cream were ready, you can proceed to the next stage - assembling and decorating the cake for a birthday of 16 years.
Cut the biscuit into three parts. The first cake is generously greased with fruit jam, and in the second - cut out the middle and spread on top of the first. Now in the center of the ring we spread the remaining jam, grease the cake with protein cream, cover with the third part of the biscuit. Firmly press all the parts, coat the sides and the top of the cake with the remaining cream.
You can decorate such a dessert with chocolate chips, fresh fruits and coconut. In our case, we chose fresh berries. We wash the berries under cold water and divide them into two parts. We cut the first half in half and put it on the cake, and the second half we decorate the sides and the middle of the biscuit.
Chocolate sponge cake with cherries and curd cream
Ingredients:
- eggs - 5 pieces;
- sugar - 100 grams;
- vanillin;
- wheat flour - 350 grams;
- margarine - 100 grams;
- cherry - 150 grams;
- cocoa powder - 50 grams.
We will divide the preparation of the biscuit into several stages:
- beat eggs with sugar, vanilla and cocoa with a whisk, and then add the mixture to the sifted flour;
- melt margarine, pour it into the dough, mix the resulting mass;
- preheat the oven to 160 degrees;
- pour dough into a greased mold and send it to the oven for 20 minutes.
Now go to the curd cream.
Cooking Curd Cream
To create such a cream you will need:
- gelatin - 30 grams;
- cottage cheese - 200 grams;
- granulated sugar - 150 grams;
- sour cream - 200 grams.
First of all, it is necessary to bring the gelatin to a boil. Then we mix sugar and cottage cheese, pour sour cream and thoroughly mix the resulting mass. The next step is to add the cooled gelatin to the curd cream. For the cream to acquire a rich taste and become more dense, it must be removed in the refrigerator for 40β45 minutes.
Now we can move on to decorating and decorating the biscuit cake for 16 years with cream. Cut the warm biscuit into two parts and grease it with curd cream. For cream, you will need products such as:
- butter - 200 grams;
- boiled condensed milk - 250 grams;
- cocoa powder - 80 grams;
- flavourless vegetable oil, it is best to take olive.
Now melt the butter to room temperature and beat with a mixer. Then add the condensed milk and whisk again with a mixer. The mixture should be a thick and uniform color. Pour the vegetable oil, pour cocoa powder and whip the cream.
To prepare sugar syrup, you must:
- granulated sugar β150 grams;
- water - 150 ml;
- cognac - 1 tbsp. a spoon.
Pour water into a small saucepan, add cognac and sugar. Bring the mixture to a boil, stir and remove from heat. Sugar syrup should be caramel.
After we have prepared syrup, protein cream and chocolate biscuit, we can proceed to the assembly and decoration of our cake for 16 years, the photo of which will be below.
Cut the biscuit into three equally sized cake. We soak each of them with sugar syrup, simply adding it to the cakes. Now grease the bottom layer with chocolate cream, press the second cake on top.
