Spiritual truths are not always as clear as they seem at first glance. Some scriptures carry several meanings or are allegorical in nature. The Bible clearly says that Christ's are only those who crucified themselves with their passions and lusts.
Physical or spiritual crucifix?
It is clear that you cannot physically crucify yourself on your own - this is impossible. But in this case, it is not about physical crucifixion. Being a believer is not just an internal understanding that God is, or belief that He is. It is said that demons believe and tremble, but this does not mean that their spiritual essence is saved. Crucifying means devoting oneself. It is not his interests to be put in the first place, but to compare all his plans with what God thinks about it and how He looks at it. Besides the fact that you need to verify your plans with Bible truths, you also need to look for answers to questions about what God's plans are for your life. Most people don’t like this position, but there are no other options for being saved. Christ's are only those who crucified their carnal human desires and placed the divine above their interests.
Only spiritual crucifixion makes sense
Jesus was crucified physically on the cross, but He had a different mission - the salvation of all mankind from their sins. Nowhere is there a call for people to sacrifice themselves. This sacrifice is meaningless and does not carry any value in itself either for the person himself or for God. Man cannot atone for his sins.
How does spiritual crucifixion occur?
It seems simple - to crucify yourself with your passions, but how to do it in practice? Spiritual things are very difficult to understand when living in a physical body. Opening the question of the crucifixion, it is impossible not to say about spiritual rebirth. If a person has not experienced a spiritual rebirth, he cannot fully understand spiritual truths, let alone realize them in his life.
That is why some people purposefully devote time to the search for spiritual truths and their understanding. They have the awareness and the feeling that something is missing, but they don’t know how to get it. When this spiritual insight takes place, the person’s worldview expands dramatically, he begins to see the connection of the spiritual and material world and that the spiritual world is primary, what happens in the spiritual world is projected onto what then happens in physical life. It is during this period that a person realizes that when crucifying his earthly desires, he acquires much more in the spiritual world, and this is incomparably more valuable and it is eternal.
