Alexei Nikanorovich Komarov worked throughout his life; he is rightly considered one of the best artists of the
animalistic genre in Russian painting. Until his very old age, he created beautiful paintings. The artist had an extensive and versatile talent, in order to understand this, it is enough to quickly glance at his paintings from the beginning to the end of the creative path. Particularly noteworthy is the painting āFloodingā by Komarov. She makes a strong impression.
Student years
Alexei Komarov easily entered the capital's school of fine arts, architecture and sculpture, and this proves that the young man was really gifted. The lessons that experienced masters taught him helped him determine the most preferred direction - he chose animalism.
Mosquitoes with pleasure portrayed animals found on Russian territory - bears, wolves, moose and numerous birds found in the zoological garden. In addition, he studied drawing a living nature with the artist Stepanov. And this man was truly talented. No wonder A.N. Komarov studied. The picture "Flood", for example, turned out to be simply magnificent.
Whom did the artist like to draw?
Komarov in his work, as a rule, gives preference to several beloved animals, he portrays them really ingeniously, in his paintings they are as if alive. The artist, no doubt, is a follower of such animalists as Sokolov and Sverchkov. Alexey Nikanorovich often portrayed beagle dogs, he watched a lot of their behavior, appearance, movements. He knew them very well and understood, and that is why his paintings turned out to be so believable and āaliveā.
Where are the artist's paintings stored?
Many Russian local history museums have in their collections Komarovās masterpieces. He gave almost a hundred paintings to Rekhlov, a collector who founded a museum in Shushenskoye and showed paintings at exhibitions in Soviet and foreign cities.
Description of the painting Komarov "Flood"
Early spring. Nature comes alive from a winter stupor. The sun's rays are increasingly warming the earth. The river will soon completely get rid of the ice, and the trees - from the snow cover. But March brings to the forest not only revival, but also terrible misfortunes. Flood! Water runs in a bubbling stream, covering the territory wider and wider. Animals have nowhere to hide from this misfortune; they have a very difficult time during this period. There is no one to protect them, and the laws of nature are often cruel.
Water filled the mink of the unfortunate bunny, and he had to leave his home. His fur suddenly became wet, he was very scared and rushed wherever his eyes look. Fortunately, he saw a tree saving bitch located close to the ground. A second - and the animal is already on the branch. Thanks to this happy accident, he survived. Description of Komarovās painting āFloodā touches to the depths of oneās soul, doesn't it?

The bunny is sitting, cowering into a lump and trembling with fear, the fur from the shock endured stood on end. He leans against the tree with his back and tries with all his might to linger here, not to fall down. When you look at him, tears come to his eyes, because at any moment he may fall into the water and die. However, in the soul there is a hope that he will be saved. But the picture around is bleak - only water and tree branches are visible. And no one will come to the rescue. If only the water stopped arriving! After all, if this continues, many inhabitants of the forest will really perish. The description of the painting seems very tragic. A. Komarov āFloodā portrayed so that people think about many important things.
Looking at the animal in the foreground of the canvas, you understand how much life is afraid of death, you also realize the helplessness of people and animals in front of some manifestations of nature. Another important character of the picture is water. In the spring, she often becomes the cause of these tragedies, decides the fate of innocent creatures. She is heartless and severe, she is not at all affected by the misfortune of animals and people. Description of Komarov's painting āFloodā, like the canvas itself, makes some impressionable people cry. How talented Komarov conveyed this tragic moment!
Perhaps the animal artist really witnessed this picture - he saw a brave brown hare on a branch, who, by a lucky chance, survived, outwitted the element, and wanted to capture it on canvas. Komarov wanted to convey to us that the inhabitants of the forest face many dangers - it is not easy for them. This picture leaves no one indifferent. Only the strongest, the boldest, the most cunning survive ... I would like to hope that the water will begin to decrease and the bunny will survive.
Where is grandfather Mazay? ..
Of course, the famous fairy tale āGrandfather Mazay and the Haresā is immediately recalled. It was these kind of trembling animals that this kind man put into his boat - someone from a hill, someone from a branch wavering in the water or a rotten stump. And they trusted Mazay and were not afraid of him, because he did not want to do any harm to them, but, on the contrary, saved them. Where is this good grandfather? I would like to call him, looking at the picture of Komarov ... But, alas, this is impossible. Itās not enough just to read the description of Komarovās painting āThe Floodā, you still need to see this canvas with your own eyes to penetrate it.
