So, Igor Kapranov, a former performer of the metal group "Amatori", having left for the monastery, raised many questions from his fans. We will try to reveal some secrets.
Igor Kapranov: biography
The future soloist was born on 06/15/1986 in the town of Sovetsk near Kaliningrad. His parents by this time were allegedly already divorced, so grandfather and grandmother were engaged in the education of little Igor.
At the age of four, the mother took the baby away near Leningrad in Vsevolozhsk. There he appeared sister Katya.
In 2008, he graduated in St. Petersburg, graduating from the State Forestry Academy. He studied at the forestry department.
09/28/2012 Igor Kapranov married, his wife Yekaterina Goncharenko had been his girlfriend for a long time. Two months before the wedding, they got married.

Igor Kapranov, Amatori
On January 9, 2004, the Amatori group gave a concert in St. Petersburg Orlandin. Kapranov was invited by the guest to the stage where he performed the song.
It did a good job and made a good impression on the team members. He was invited to become the vocalist of the group, replacing Alexei Ovchinnikov, who had friction with the rest of the team due to a discrepancy in musical predilections.
Igor Kapranov immediately agreed to become the new lead singer of the Amatori band and left Stigmatu.
He organically joined the new team, which with his help began to spin up pretty well.
His charisma, energy, impulsive behavior on the stage were very impressive to the fans of the team.
2005 brought the group with the new vocalist the single “Black and White Days”, which quickly became popular. A clip was immediately made on it.
Fruitful work in a group
In the same 2005, Igor Kapranov, whose photo was increasingly flashed in rock magazines, became a laureate of the project "Rock Alternative Music Prize" as the best vocalist of the year.
With his participation, “Amatori” recorded three albums in the studio, released a number of singles and 3 DVDs. The team gave more than one hundred successful concerts.
November 27, 2009, the Amatori group released the single "Crimson Dawn" and announced their intention to prepare a new album. At that moment, the band was on a Sick and loud tour.
During the concerts, the presentation of the fresh track "Empire of Evil" took place, by this time the work on the instrumental of the new album was completed. For the summer period of 2010, the group planned to participate in several concerts at various rock festivals.
The unexpected departure of the vocalist
06/28/2010 Igor Kapranov unexpectedly declared that he intended to leave the rock party and give himself up to religious activity - to retire in the monastery walls. This statement was completely unexpected for his fans and generated a lot of gossip among rock lovers.

In April 2011, Igor in the form of an audio recording published a congratulation to the participants of the Amatori group on the tenth anniversary of the formation of the collective. About himself, he said that he had great well-being.
He explained the reason for leaving the group with personal problems and the desire to radically change his lifestyle in order to streamline everything within himself.
In August of that year, he gave an interview for A-ONE, where he explained the reasons for his departure to the monastery walls. He also expressed his intention to take part as a guest in concerts of the Amatori anniversary tour.
A bit later, the Amatori group rewrote the song Shards, where the voices of two vocalists simultaneously sounded - Kapranov and Vyacheslav Sokolov, who in this capacity replaced him in the group. The same composition served as the basis for the video clip "Shards 2011".
Spring 2012 was once again remembered by Igor fans for the fact that he suspended his creative activity and was actively engaged in his family.
In May 2014, Igor participated in the filming of the video "Do not forget me," created by the group Jane Air.

To the question of the correspondent Ilya Shum about what the musician’s path in church life was and what his attitude towards rock music was, Kapranov answered as follows.
For him, existence in church life became quite natural, in connection with which he simply does not think about it, as, for example, nobody thinks about how the breathing process occurs, everyone just breathes and that's it. Rock music became just boring for him, it can not be taken by him in all seriousness.
Igor suggested evaluating the last video “Slayer”: if its creators consider their work to be serious, then, according to Igor, they have a place in the psychiatric hospital as socially dangerous individuals.
Currently, as a member of the Russian-Byzantine choir, which bears the name of Pachomius Logofet, he is actively engaged in practical liturgical and educational activities.
