The brownie, who lives in a dwelling, is believed to provide a healthy family life, is a kind of invisible patron. His name is known to both children and adults.
Bit of history
Previously, it was believed that the brownie is some kind of ancestor, a deceased member of the family. Sometimes it was even believed that God created this mythical creature . But basically this is a character in East Slavic mythology. Domnik, hatnik, domovik, hut, baker, grandfather - these are just a few of the affectionate names given to him by the people. Sometimes the attitude of the brownie to evil spirits was emphasized : not his spirit, dashing, lakaylo, crafty. But in general, it was accepted that this creature is nevertheless rather good than evil. If the house man likes people living nearby, he warns them of the danger, sometimes jokes, provides various services. Otherwise, stomping, screaming at night, breaking dishes, pinching.
Appearance
Before you draw a brownie, you need to clearly understand what it looks like. After all, nobody really saw him! However, there is already a traditional way of being. He is short, heavily disheveled, with a huge beard, good-natured and almost harmless, amused joker. He is also very careful. Hands are large, with wide palms on which soft hair grows. Accordingly, it will be quite easy for us to draw one.
The first method: how to draw a brownie in stages
Step 1. Draw a circle on a piece of paper with a pencil, rather large. This is the future head. Draw a small rectangle below. This is the body of the being. It should be smaller than the head! We are doing everything so far schematically.
Step 2. On the sides of the body we draw long arms with wide palms that reach the toes. Legs can not be depicted, they will be hidden under clothes.
Step 3. The sketch is ready, now you can do the details. We draw the nose with the button, the eyes are cunning, and we shade the beard. Shaggy hair.

The second way, more complicated
Step 1. Sketch a sketch of a little man, stocky and bearded. You need to use auxiliary lines. Let's start by marking up your sheet. Draw one vertical line. Using the pattern, we draw several ovals with different sizes. The upper oval will be the head - it is large enough. The lower will become the body.
Step 2. Determine the levels of the nose, eyes, and mouth. In these places, it is also necessary to draw horizontal auxiliary lines. The oval of the body is divided into three equal parts. We also draw auxiliary horizontal lines (two should be obtained).
Step 3. Denote the area of the pants belt, and draw the sleeves as well. We clear our sketch of unnecessary lines, erasing them. We draw hair (in the middle of the head - parting) and a beard with a mustache.
Step 4. We bring to mind the face of the creature: eyes, mouth, wrinkles, nose of potatoes.
Step 5. Designing clothes: a shirt with a long sleeve, cuffs, a patch on the pants.
Step 6. We detail the drawing, apply shadows, draw contours. If you wish, you can color the grandfather, but you can leave a pencil version.
