The SantekhMaster gel belongs to the category of anaerobic sealants. The process proceeds in the absence of oxygen. A chemical reaction begins when the flanges are closed ( thread connection ). In this case, the gel does not expand and does not shrink. Heat generation or absorption is also absent. The polymer has good adhesion to metal. Due to this, the connection withstands vibrations, temperature differences, a pressure of 40 atmospheres. The product is not allergenic, not toxic. It does not have a pungent odor. Therefore, you can apply the gel in hard to reach places with your finger. The composition includes a solvent - the contact time with the skin should not be long.

Gels are used at room temperature. After drying, the assembled compound can work in quite difficult climatic conditions. The temperature range in this case is from minus 60 to plus 150 degrees. The speed of sealing depends on the speed of polymerization of the surfaces. Some metals are more active in such a reaction than others. This affects the strength of the connection.

SantekhMaster gel is suitable for sealing metal threaded or flange joints in areas such as:

  • Water: drinking, cold and hot.
  • Gas: natural, liquefied.
  • The air is compressed.
  • Antifreeze for heating.

On the connection of water pipes with drinking water there is a special conclusion of sanitary services. Flange fasteners have advantages over threaded fasteners. They require less time to seal, and to close the surfaces you need to make less effort. In this case, it is not necessary to crimp the connection evenly. Thanks to this, the gel can be used even on skewed flanges. At the same time, the product cannot be used in an environment of strong oxidizing agents (pure oxygen, chlorine, and so on).

Varieties of gels

There are three main types of gaskets that differ in sealing time, the size of the pipes to be connected, and the conditions of use. Means have a different color: green, blue, red. We will talk about each of them in more detail.

The green gel is used to connect pipes with a diameter of up to 40 mm (1.5 inches), due to the more fluid consistency. Suitable for those areas where the connection should have less turning force, for example, in hard-to-reach places. Hardening time - 20-30 minutes.

SantehMaster (gel blue) is used for pipes with threads up to 50 mm (2 inches). This is the most optimal option that is used most often. It has average indicators for the dismantling force and sealing speed (15-20 minutes).

In cases where it is necessary to speed up the process of starting the system as much as possible, use another tool included in the line called SantechMaster - red gel. Its sealing time is only 5 minutes at room temperature. This composition is also suitable for operation in low temperatures (from plus 5 degrees). Using

Before use, the SantekhMaster gel must be mixed. To do this, just shake the tube. It is convenient to apply the product on clean threads directly from the packaging. The gel is squeezed out of it with an even thick layer. Do not be afraid that it will spread or drip. The dense consistency of the composition protects against such problems.

Next, collect the connection, twisting it slightly so that the gel lies evenly. Tightening with a key is optional. The gel will harden even in those cases when only a couple of revolutions are twisted. At the same time tight tightening will speed up the sealing process. Incomplete twisting is convenient in cases where the connection should be in a certain position.

Sealing is considered to be performed correctly if the excess gel appears evenly. If they are not there or they are unevenly distributed, the connection must be untwisted and the application applied again. Excesses are removed with a brush. They can be used for the next connection.

After a quarter of an hour, the seal is checked by test pressure (within 0.5 atmosphere). If there is a leak, the pipe connection is immediately sorted out until the gel is completely frozen. If all is well, after 40 minutes they will experience it with a normal working pressure of 10 atmospheres. After a day, pressure up to 40 atm is allowed.
