The world-famous manufacturer of dry mixes and building materials, Vetonit, has been producing a high-quality coarse-grained and quick-hardening equalizer Vetonit 5000 for several years. It is a quick setting cement based mortar. It does not contain casein, therefore it is safe for health. "Vetonit 5000", technical characteristics, flow rate, the properties of which will be considered in the article, are successfully used for starting (rough) floor leveling. It is used in offices, public buildings and residential premises.

This mixture is suitable for leveling floors manually. The thickness of the poured layer is approximately 5-50 mm, in the presence of minor depressions, they can be filled with a mixture, however, the layer thickness in this area should not exceed 80 mm. Also, the material can be used for inclined substrates with a small layer thickness, providing quick setting.
The composition of the mixture includes cements, chemical additives, fillers and sand. The bulk material is diluted with water immediately before use. The main advantages of this mixture are good moisture resistance and heat resistance. Due to this, it can be used in rooms with a high level of humidity, as well as for leveling electric or water floors with heating.
Application area
Let us consider in more detail for the Vetonit 5000 mixture technical specifications, flow rate. The instruction for use recommends applying it evenly on the surface to be leveled, if necessary performing a slope. After hardening, a smooth and durable surface is obtained, suitable for laying glued and rolled floor coverings (ceramic and stone tiles, linoleum, textile or PVC carpeting, floating parquet). It is also possible to use the mixture for laying piece parquet. In this case, plywood is laid on the base under the parquet. Foundation preparation
First you need to remove lagging concrete, glue and old leveling mixes from the work surface. Areas of possible leakage of the solution should be repaired or separated by a stopper. After that it is necessary to clean the base from dust and prime it (“Vetonit MD 16” primer will prevent the rapid absorption of liquid from the solution into the working base and the formation of air bubbles). It should be noted that when pouring several layers, it is necessary to prime the base before each of them. When performing work, as well as during the day after their completion, it is necessary to make sure that there are no drafts.
Solution preparation
A powerful drill is used to prepare the solution. In 3-4 liters of water (exceeding this norm will entail a decrease in the strength of the mixture and its further peeling from the base) a bag of the Vetonit 5000 mixture is poured and stirred for 1-2 minutes. At low air temperatures it is recommended to use warm water to prepare the Vetonit 5000 mixture. Technical characteristics, consumption will not change.
After 2-3 hours, you can walk on the surface, and after 3-4 hours its grinding is allowed. Optionally, you can optionally pour a mixture of "Vetonit 3000". If the layer thickness is 10 mm, then floor coverings can be laid after 1 day.
The mixture is packaged in 25 kg paper bags. The shelf life of the Vetonit 5000 mixture, technical specifications, flow rates are indicated on the packaging. It must be stored in closed bags and in a dry room for 6 months.
