Stencil making and use

Currently, everyone is trying to surround themselves with exclusive and interesting things. There are several ways to do this. For example, you can paint your home manually, choosing the colors you like and how to apply them.

Stencil Making
Having bought ready-made stencils for walls, you can quickly diversify boring and boring interiors. At the same time, you can quickly and with a high degree of accuracy draw every, even the smallest, element of your chosen picture. It can be exquisite motifs of French Provence or minimalistic images of the Japanese style.

In addition, probably, every motorist knows airbrushing, stencils in which are also used for drawing. Especially often the doors, wings, hood or trunk of a car are subjected to this procedure. Recently, painting of side mirrors, roofs, and car bumpers has gained popularity.

The stencil is traditionally made from PVC film or special plastic, on the surface of which, using a special plotter, the required shapes, inscriptions and drawings are cut out. Depending on the type of material used, models for single and multiple use are distinguished.

Reusable templates are designed for conveyor work. The use of a disposable stencil is most effective when you need to quickly apply a small drawing.

The manufacture of a stencil also directly depends on its further purpose. Distinguish between supporting and temporary stencils, as well as patterns.

So, for example, temporary patterns are widely used in those cases when it is necessary to draw a clear contour line in some part of the picture. This affects the material from which it is made. Most often, a PVC film acts as such a material.

In turn, the manufacture of a reference type stencil is made of paper, since such models are designed to transfer the image to the desired surface in compliance with the proportions of the object. In addition, such patterns are necessary to create smooth circles or straight lines with enhanced contour accuracy. Keep in mind that this method allows you to most accurately copy a font or pattern without changing its proportions.

The patterns are made of special plastic, which is designed for continuous reuse. However, do not forget that patterns that are excellent in their properties and characteristics can also be produced from the film used in printing.

Making a stencil can be done at home with your own hands. Consider the simplest paper template. First you need to draw or print the desired pattern, and then transfer it to cardboard. This will strengthen the stencil, as well as avoid "creeping" of the image. Next, cut the model along the resulting contour. To do this, it is best to use scissors and special sharp knives.
