Do you need to portray a frog for school, a serious biological project, or just for the soul? Or maybe the child has been asking for a day: “Well, draw!”? Nothing is easier! Following simple step-by-step instructions, we will figure out how to draw a frog in different styles. In the first master class, she will be like a real one, and in the second she will become a funny cartoon character.
What do you need for work?
We will draw with a comfortable soft pencil. In addition to it, of course, you need thick paper, an eraser, as well as felt-tip pens or colored pencils for coloring. Check if the box has green and black shades - without them in any way!
How to draw a frog in stages
Step one. We draw the body of the frog in the form of an elongated oval, and then make one of its sides pointed to the bottom. Add two small circles in the upper part, where the future head is located - these will be the eyes. Draw them so that one overlaps the other.
Step Two We move from the body to the limbs: we draw the hind and front paws with the fingers. This is not at all difficult when you look at the drawing. Well, if the first try fails, you can always erase the excess. We outline the nostrils and mouth in the form of a smooth semicircle, with a protrusion in the middle.
Step Three Add details: draw pupils, nostrils, upper lip, a dash mark a smile, an additional horizontal line just below the middle of the body form the stomach.
Step Four On the back, draw small circles and ovals of various shapes to illustrate the warty texture of the frog's body. Do not make them too much - five to six pieces is enough. The resulting drawing can be circled with a marker or a black pen, and the pencil sketch erased with an eraser.
Step Five It remains to add colors - and you're done! Use dark and light green shades for the back, and cream or sand for the abdomen. The frog turned out just like a living one!
How to draw a cartoon frog
This workshop is even easier. Even a five-year-old child who wonders “How to draw a frog with a pencil?” Can easily handle it.
First, draw a flattened oval, and below it is another oval, squat, resting on the first. It will be the head and body. Below you need to draw long legs with pointed toes. In the upper part of the legs we will have a single design. On the body, draw two small front paws.
On the head, where the eyes should be located, draw two rather large circles, and in them - the pupils. Under them we draw a smile in the form of a rounded line. On the front legs we also form pointed toes, according to the same pattern as on the legs, but much less.
It remains to trace the contours of the entire frog with a marker or to direct it harder with a simple pencil. Eraser erases all unnecessary, remove the errors that arose in the process. Color the frog as you wish. You can and should use color transitions, from light to dark, so that the picture is more voluminous and richer. Here, pink dimples on the cheeks will also be appropriate.
