Tits are the birds of our childhood: nimble, very mobile, and also winter. Because most often they flew to our feeders under the windows! They sat and waited for when they put something tasty, some goodies. And we gladly fed them. And they were grateful to us for helping to survive the harsh winter.
Harder from nature
Titmouse could be found in parks, gardens, squares. There, on the trees, there were feeders, where the birds flied. There you could, if you wish, write from nature, if the question came to your mind: "How to draw a tit?" But it was quite difficult to do this, because it is cold and the bird itself is twirling. In short, you will not accelerate much.
Now, there are many manuals and manuals on how to draw a titmouse, and indeed any bird in general. It is enough to carefully study the photographs, instructions - and for the cause, yourself and the children for joy!
Easier - step by step
Tit - a bird with a very beautiful and bright colors. Abdomen - bright yellow with a black stripe, somewhat reminiscent of a tie. Cheeks are white. The top of the head and neck are black. Wings - with a bluish tint. Such bright colors are hard to miss, they attract attention. Thinking about how to draw a tit, you need to consider this feature.
If you donβt have the opportunity to draw from nature, you can always depict a bird using our lessons! So here we go!
How to draw a titmouse step by step with a pencil
First, we recommend a sketch.
You will need a sheet of A4 paper and a soft pencil.
First, draw an inclined axis. This will become the basis for the entire figure of the tit.
On the axis we have an oval below. This is the future body.
Draw a circle above the oval. It is also on the axis, but it is smaller than the oval. The ratio is approximately 1: 4. This is the future head of the bird.
At the bottom of the body we attach the legs and tail - literally in a few strokes.
On the sides of the calf there are wings (more precisely, only one will be visible).
On the head we finish the eyes and beak.
So that our titmouse does not hang in the air, we outline schematically the branch on which it will sit.
Step-by-step instruction
How to draw a titmouse in stages? Very simple! Now our sketch is ready. We begin to draw the details and hatch the picture.
First step. Mentally mark the crown on the head of the bird. From her we carefully lead the pencil to the left and down. Let us dwell on the beak. We carefully draw it.
Second step. Under the beak we will show the neck of the tit - with short strokes, making the plumage effect. Next, go to the breast, which is slightly protruding forward relative to the neck. We gradually round the contour, go to the abdomen. We return back to the crown, we draw a line to the right and down to the neck. It can be drawn intermittently.
At the chest level - slightly convex - make a bend to the right. We go down again, continuing to draw the contours of the body. Slightly below the chest level, we show a dashed line - this is the wing. About half the vertical line will divide it in accordance with the coloring of the tits.
Third step. Draw a black eye bead. Under it we draw a contour starting from the beak. This is a cheek. Leave it unpainted, white. Pressing the pencil hard, around the neck we shade the black strip - the collar. From him down we outline a tie, closer to the abdomen. We leave the crown of the head light, unpainted. This will create a glitter effect. The areas under the beak and above the cheek are stroked, as it were, along the plumage, to make it more realistic. We continue to hatch the wing only along the plumage, but already larger. We draw the legs and the branch on which the bird sits. Add more hatching. Our drawing is almost finished. We remove excess lines. Now you know how to draw a tit with a pencil!
To all of the above, you can add that in the same way you can try to draw with a pencil a woodpecker, swan, duck, chicken - only the proportions of the figures will be slightly different. The swan has a longer neck, the woodpecker has a beak.
Coloring with paints

Returning to the question of how to draw a titmouse, it should be noted that it will work best if it is painted, for example, with gouache or watercolor. To do this, carefully look at the bird in nature or in the photo. How she looks like? What colors are best applied? The gamut of blue-green-yellow is suitable. Of course, you will need black and white. Perhaps a little red - for the beak and paws. Start painting the bird in stages. But first, make an accurate sketch (see above). Do everything, as for a pencil drawing, but do not draw details and do not shade the outline strongly. Pour paint over the sketch, remove excess lines with an eraser. To get a more realistic look at the photo, which shows a bird in color. Draw a sprig of brown paint. A green leaf is possible. Select the background of the picture to match the primary colors. It is unacceptable, for example, to put pink or dark purple, although this is a matter of taste. Now you know how to draw a titmouse in various ways - with a pencil and paints. Have a good work!
