Mantras are commonly called phrases or words spoken to oneself or aloud, which are objects of meditation. Sometimes mantras are somehow connected with Buddhist characters, certain properties of which a person can develop in himself, systematically repeating a single mantra. And yet, what is a mantra?
The source of all mantras is pranava, that is, the sound "Ohm." In the process of pronunciation, this sound appears from the very depths of the body and gradually rises up. The correct and constant repetition of the sound "Ohm" allows you to relax literally every cell in the body.
What is a mantra? These are syllables and words in Sanskrit. Mantras, the text of which carries a powerful charge of energy, have an effect on literally every cell of the human body. When repeating in a meditative state, words and syllables of mantras help a person to reach a higher level of consciousness. At the initial level of meditation, mantras help to concentrate, and further, under their beneficial influence, the mind focuses on the state of peace and tranquility.

When repeating mantras, special mala beads are often used, having 108 beads plus one more bead - βmeasureβ. You can repeat the healing mantras any number of times, however, the number of repetitions must be a multiple of three. You can repeat them 3, 9 or 15 times, but the best result can be achieved if you repeat the mantra 108 times daily, according to the number of beads in the beads. The number 108 is a sacred number. One is a symbol of higher energy, zero is a symbol of the perfection of divine creation, and the eight, as you know, is a symbol of infinity. The rosary will not only allow you not to lose count during meditation, but also help you focus on singing mantras and their essence, and even the rosary is charged with the energy of the mantras and therefore can be a kind of talisman.
Scientific studies have shown that the systematic repetition of mantras can have a beneficial effect on humans. Mantras help lower blood pressure, relieve stress and bring the human body to a pleasant state of peace and relaxation.
Those who practice mantra singing say that their true value lies in the direct impact on the human soul. Studies conducted by scientists have shown that people who systematically practice mantra singing have excellent psychological health: they are very balanced and harmonious, their appearance literally radiates calm and love. What is a mantra? A mantra is a kind of brief prayer, however, unlike the usual prayers of all, it does not contain requests, it is a kind of bundle of powerful energy in which special information is encoded. Using mantras, a person unites his personal consciousness with the divine principle and the Universe, opening the way to spiritual growth.

There are a huge number of mantras, each of which helps to solve a certain kind of problem. There are mantras for gaining health and longevity, for harmonizing space and even for attracting wealth. Paradoxical as it may seem, but even sometimes not knowing what a mantra is and what meaning it carries, a person repeats its text and achieves amazing results.
Experts do not advise practicing several mantras at once, it is better to choose the one that most suits the needs and problems that are relevant at the moment, and start with it.
