DIY sakura on the wall: interesting ideas and reviews

Sakura on the wall will help complement the Japanese-style interior. She is considered a symbol of an amazing and incomprehensible culture, as well as the soul of the country. Depicted as a spreading branch with pale pink flowers. Such a decoration on the wall will become a symbol of the awakening of natural forces, unfading beauty. Sakura can be drawn directly on the wall (or on canvas), embroidered, cut, weaved from beads, etc. Let's try to figure out how to do this.

general information

Hanami festival is associated with sakura, during which people admire the beauty of the flowering of various plants. This happens in spring when all wildlife wakes up. During this period (lasts only 5-7 days), the Japanese have picnics under flowering trees. According to popular beliefs, the contemplation of Japanese cherries soothes the soul, gives health and vitality.

That is why, when building Japanese-style rooms, they often draw sakura on the wall. If you decide to get such an interior decoration, then first select the size of the composition. You can wallpaper the entire perimeter with a tree and end up in a real blooming garden.

Very often, Japan is associated with Mount Fuji, which can be displayed in the background. You can also decorate the room with murals with sakura glued to one of the walls (camera angles can be completely different). The same applies to paintings, panels and voluminous products - it all depends on the imagination.

Photowall-paper

Today, wall murals are in great demand, since they depict high-quality and vibrant drawings. They are great for any room and style. In a room made in bright colors, sakura on the wall will give the interior lightness and tenderness. In a dark room, you can play in contrast and place Japanese cherries on an entire wall (but only one). Also with the help of photo wallpaper they break the room into zones.

Wall mural with sakura

You can diversify a simple branch with flowers, if you add the effect of volume. To do this, just continue the tree to the ceiling or other wall (place in the corner). Photowall-paper with a light background visually expand the space of a small room. Since sakura has small flowers, the decoration is suitable for styles in which there are no bulky products (minimalism, modern, etc.).

Wall murals with Japanese cherry can be pasted in:

  1. Bedroom (above the head of the bed, on the doors of the wardrobe).
  2. Living room (the whole wall opposite the sofa or behind it).
  3. Kitchen (instead of an apron at the working area, but you will have to additionally protect it from moisture and pollution).
  4. Children's room (especially suitable for girls).
  5. Bathroom (in the washbasin, shower or bathtub).
  6. Hallway (opposite the closet).

Stickers

The simplest and cheapest option is a wall sticker with sakura. They are sold in specialized stores, while the picture itself can be selected to your liking.

Sakura in the nursery

Among the advantages of products should be highlighted:

  • low cost;
  • the possibility of drawing a picture to order;
  • ease of gluing;
  • universality, allowing use in any room (in the living room, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom and children's room);
  • a quick way to transform the interior;
  • durability.

In order to glue a picture in a quality manner, it is necessary to follow the instructions: outline a place, check evenness and press in parts. Such stickers are made of PVC - a durable and reliable material, which, if necessary, can be wiped with a damp cloth. This allows you to use them in the kitchen or in the bathroom.

Panel

The sakura branch depicted in the panel looks very beautiful and unusual on the wall. It is made on the basis of woven material and fits well into a classic, oriental or ethnic interior.

For work, we need:

  • thin white fabric (cambric, silk, cotton);
  • squirrel brushes;
  • acrylic paints for fabric;
  • reserve (special fluid);
  • printed drawing;
  • frame.
Panel with sakura

We carry out the work in the following order:

  1. We print out the picture you like.
  2. Cut a piece a little larger than the picture from the fabric.
  3. We spread it on the printed image and fix it with paper clips.
  4. We take a soft pencil and transfer the picture to the fabric through the window pane. Also note the boundaries of the transition colors.
  5. To make it easier to draw, you need to take any solid base (for example, a kitchen board) and cover with a fabric with a pattern. You can fix the product using the threads (on the back).
  6. We apply a reserve at the edges of the drawing - a special composition that prevents the paint from flowing out of the borders. We are waiting for it to dry for about 40 minutes.
  7. Colorize the picture with acrylic paints, first applying the lightest shades.
  8. After drying, remove the picture from the base and insert into the frame (you can simply pull it onto a dense base and decorate).

Picture

If there are problems with drawing the panel, then you can make a simple picture using an ordinary plastic bottle. For work, we take: thick paper, a plastic bottle, a disposable plate, a brush and acrylic paints (black and pink).

To get a charming picture with sakura on the wall, do the following:

  1. We take a sheet of paper and draw a tree trunk on it. For work, you can use only black paint, or different shades of brown.
  2. We wait until part of the drawing dries.
  3. Fill the plate with pink paint.
  4. We immerse the bottom of the bottle in it and apply it to the sheet of paper where the flower should be.
  5. We make some more flowers around a tree trunk.
  6. Let the paint dry and decorate the wall with a painting. If desired, you can insert it into the finished frame (or make it yourself).

Art painting

Paintings and panels look beautiful, but art painting will be the perfect decoration of the interior. How to draw sakura on the wall? Even a novice artist will cope with this matter - it is enough to prepare the necessary materials (acrylic paints, roller, brushes, a simple pencil).

Sakura acrylic paints

To get a high-quality picture, do the following:

  1. We prepare the surface for staining. As a basis, you can stick wallpaper for painting or leave the old coating (apply white or pastel paint on it).
  2. We find the liked sakura pattern. Transfer it to paper and draw the contours with a simple pencil (you can make patterns, but it will take more time). First, draw the trunk, and then the flowers.
  3. We apply acrylic paints. We will need in the work: black, white, yellow and red. If desired, you can add a few more shades to make the picture look more voluminous. To get started, take brushes of different thicknesses and draw a trunk and twigs. Mix white and red to get pink flowers.
  4. We make additional touches. You can decorate the tree with birds, which are easy to draw with stencils. Put a picture on paper, cut it out, apply it to the wall and paint over with black paint.

Volumetric products

A more expensive and beautiful decoration option is a three-dimensional sakura tree on the wall. It can be bought in a store or made independently from different materials. Consider two methods for making Japanese cherries.

For the first option, we will need: white or pale pink napkins, a nice branch, threads and scotch tape. To start, we make flowers, for which we fold napkins in 2 layers, make an accordion from them and tie them with a thread in the middle. Separate the layers of the napkin and gently wrap them around the core, forming a bud. We attach flowers to the branch with scotch tape and put the tree in a pot (we place it on a wall shelf).

Volumetric Sakura

For the second design option, we take:

  • a small bush or tree;
  • a vase;
  • some concrete mortar;
  • pink silk;
  • glue;
  • varnish for wood;
  • stones, shells, beads.

First, prepare the tree, for which we fill the vase with 3/4 concrete mortar and insert the bush there. Top cover the mixture with stones, shells and beads. We cover the tree with varnish and leave to dry for 1-2 days. Cut squares 50 x 50 mm from silk to make flowers out of them.

We connect three shreds and fold them two times in half. The resulting square is folded into a triangle. The bottom corner will be the center of the flower around which the rest of the part will be rounded. Expand the free edges and get three layers of bud. We burn the edges of the workpieces and glue together. We place beads in the center of the flowers and glue the finished products to the tree.

Decorative items

The Japanese interior can be supplemented with objects decorated or made in the form of sakura. For example, a round knitted picture (napkin, rug) on which you can embroider a tree will look great on the wall. The shape of the product resembles the symbol of Japan, but its shade can be any: white, yellow, light turquoise or green.

An excellent decoration will be sakura, embroidered or made from beads. We take the beads and string it on the wire - this is how we form the trunk and branches. We decorate the product with pink beads (flowers) and set it in a pot. To add stability to the structure will help glass balls sprinkled at the base of the barrel.

Branch shelf

You can put sakura on the wall with your own hands using shelves assembled in one composition (in the form of a branch). Flowers can be painted or made from colored paper.

A few more options for decorating the interior with Japanese cherry:

  • photos;
  • volume applications from paper;
  • painted plates;
  • thread stretched over nails.

Reviews

As you can see above, there are many ways to get the desired tree on the wall. But which one is better to choose, especially if you do not have experience in drawing? According to reviews, if you have never held a brush in your hand, it is better to opt for murals with sakura. If necessary, any company will help finalize the picture. In order not to have to glue large canvases, you can purchase specialized stickers.

Qualitatively paint the surface can only professional artists. But if you set a goal, then you can get a nice twig. To simplify the task, a sketch made with a simple pencil will help. On top of it, you can safely draw with acrylic paints.

Experts advise preparing the wall for drawing a picture. It should be puttied, sanded and painted in the base color. Also, the picture will lie well on the wallpaper for painting. After preparing the base, we proceed to the choice of the type of sakura: a small branch in the corner of the room or a large tree in the entire wall. Stencils attached with masking tape will help facilitate work. We remove them after the paint is completely dry.

Blossoming sakura embodies tenderness and unfading beauty. According to reviews, it can be used to give the interior a touch of Japanese style and simply diversify the decor.
