November 16 is a special date for many citizens of our country. Autumn celebrate Designer's Day. This holiday appeared not so long ago. It began to be celebrated only in 2005. Thus, designers who perform critical tasks daily, work overtime, and often without days off, have remained completely unattended.

In order to finally understand why the Designer's Day is so important and necessary, let's see what exactly the representatives of this profession do. In fact, the profession is very ancient. People began to study its fundamentals as soon as they began to engage in construction, because before building any, even the simplest building, it needs to be carefully thought out and designed.
One of the most famous designers can be considered Leonardo da Vinci. You may be surprised, because we know him as a talented artist. The fact is that at one time Leonardo was primarily an outstanding scientist, engineer, designer, and already in the second - an artist.

The first organized celebration was held in St. Petersburg in 2005. Only 150 representatives of the profession gathered that year. But a year later this day was celebrated in three cities, and more than 600 people of this profession took part in it. Further more. In 2007, another 6 cities of Russia picked up the tradition, so more than 2 thousand professional designers were able to happily celebrate their day. So, from year to year, Designer's Day has gained more and more fans. Now this holiday is celebrated in almost every city in the Russian Federation.
