Southern Federal University, Rostov-on-Don

The university begins its history in 1915, because at that time several faculties of the Imperial University of Warsaw were evacuated to the south. This was done at the initiative of Nicholas Pariysky, and Rostov-on-Don was chosen. The Federal University got its modern name only recently, since over the past century it has changed regularly. This institution of higher education since 2006, according to the order of the government and the ministry, includes units of several more institutions. Recently, the geographical scope of cooperation, as well as the material, technological and information base of activities in this direction, has expanded significantly. Teachers of the Southern Federal University are trying to apply the experience of foreign colleagues, and the university itself accepts foreign students, and also participates in projects and programs of an international nature.

Social base of SFU
There are nine dormitories of the Southern Federal University in Rostov-on-Don, and seven dormitories of its branch in the city of Taganrog. DSTU, or Don State Technical University, is on the list of the most prestigious universities in Rostov-on-Don. This institution of higher education began its history in 1930, when a number of factories producing agricultural machinery began to work (we are talking about Rostselmash). That is why, in the absence of the necessary specialists, it was decided to establish universities that would provide enterprises with personnel.
Training at DSTU
Today, Don State Technical University is training students in 240 specializations, while it includes eighteen faculties. DSTU helps with the training of professional personnel for a number of companies in the Rostov region. The university has several departments that train specialists for specific enterprises. University of Justice, Rostov-on-Don
Today in this educational institution, which includes branches throughout Russia, about 22 thousand students receive education.
