Prayer night. Night prayer time. What is the name of the night prayer?

Do you know what the night prayer is called? Everyone knows that Islamic worship can take various forms, which directly depend on its time. Prayer is also modified in accordance with the circumstances surrounding its events, on the occasion of which it takes place.

The most noticeable difference is the prayers in the number of rak'ahs that they include, although most prayers consist of two rak'ahs. The only worship that does not have the usual rak'ahs is called the funeral service (janase). It is read standing, raising its hands to the sun and uttering takbir between prayers-dua.

Isha

The night prayer is called Isha. This is a fourfold obligatory prayer, which begins to be read after sunset (with the departure of the evening dawn) and completed at dawn. It’s interesting, but many people believe that this service can be completed at midnight.

prayer night

So, isha is one of the five daily obligatory prayers. The time of night prayer begins immediately after the completion of the mahrib prayer and ends before the morning Fajr prayer service begins. In the Hanafi madhhab, isha is read one and a half hours after the evening prayer of the maghrib.

The end of the service occurs before the beginning of the morning prayer. By the way, prayer night has auxiliary prayers. After reading the prayer-isha, it is recommended to perform an additional two-time divine service and prayer-vitra.

Hadith

  • Aisha told the story: “It so happened that the Messenger of Allah kept the prayer of Isha until it passed deep after midnight. He went out later, performed a prayer and said: "This is the true time of this prayer, but I am not afraid to burden my disciples."
  • The Messenger of Allah said: “If it were not burdensome for my community, I would order them to read the prayer Isha to put off until the first third of the night or until the middle of the night.”
  • Jabir said: “Sometimes the Prophet hurried with night prayer, and sometimes he hesitated. When he contemplated a multitude of people, he recited a prayer service early. When people came late, he put off the prayer. ”

Night prayer

And now we will try to consider in more detail the night prayer (al-isha) and the prayer vitr. When praying at night, one must first utter four rak'ahs of the Sunnah, similar to the Sunnah of the afternoon prayer. Then ikamat is performed, and after four rak'ahs of the fard, similar to the fard of midday worship. Then the worshiper reads two rakahats of the Sunnah, similar to the Sunnah of the morning prayer. Between them, the difference can only be found in niyyat.

what is called night prayer

Then three rak'ah prayers vitr are performed. By the way, prayer vitr is considered a wajib and consists of three rak'ahs. It is read after a night prayer. In general, in each rak'ahtah, “al-Fatiha” and one more sura are performed.

How is prayer vitr performed? First you need to perform niyyat: “For the sake of Allah, I bothered to fulfill the prayer of the vitra,” and then, after saying takbir: “Allahu akbar,” you need to get up to read the prayer. After making two rak'ahs, as in the Sunnah of morning prayer, only "Attahiyyat ..." is read while sitting.

Then the worshiper says “Allahu akbar” and gets up to perform the third rak'ah: now he reads “al-Fatiha” and another sura. Then the hands drop down, rise to the ears and say takbir: "Allahu akbar."

Then the worshiper, hands clasped on his stomach, reads the Kunut dua. Then he drops his hands and says “Allahu akbar”, making a “hand”. After the implementation of the two soot, they read "Attahiyyat ...", "Salavat" and the dua. Then pronounced "salam."

In general, there are special schemes for performing rak'ahs of night prayers for both women and men.

How does a Muslim woman read namaz?

Where to start prayer for a night woman? As a rule, at first they figure out what prayer is and why it should be performed. In general, prayer is one of the five Islamic pillars. Every Muslim and Muslim is obliged to read it. This worship service cleanses the soul of a person, ignites the heart of the believer and magnifies it before Holy Allah. It is through this sacred prayer that a person’s worship of the Most High is expressed.

Only during a prayer can people personally communicate with Allah. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said this prayer: “Namaz is the support of religion. Whoever ignores him destroys his faith. ” The performing prayer cleanses his soul from everything sinful and vicious.

night prayer for women

In general, for a woman, Muslim prayer is an integral part of her worship of God. Once the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked his comrades-in-arms the question: “Will the mud remain on your body if you bathe five times in the river that flows in front of your hut?” They answered: “Oh, God's Messenger, our body will be ours clean and no dirt will remain! ”

To this, the Prophet said: “This is an example of the five prayers that Muslims recite: thanks to them, Allah blots away sins, as this water cleanses the body of dirt.” Prayer will be a key moment in counting human accomplishments on the Day of Judgment, because his actions on the earth will be judged in relation to the believer in Muslim prayers.

Night prayer for women is the same obligatory prayer as for men. Many Muslim women are afraid to read a prayer service, since they do not know how to perform it. But such a nuance should not serve as an obstacle to the fulfillment by the believer of her obligations to Allah. After all, if a woman refuses prayer, she loses not only the divine reward, but also peace of mind, family peace and the possibility of raising babies in the Islamic faith.

How to do a night prayer for a woman? First, she must remember the number of prayers needed and know how many rakas they consist of. A Muslim woman needs to understand that each prayer is made up of nafl prayer, sunna prayer and fard prayer. Interestingly, for Muslims, performing fard prayers is a must.

What is raccoon? This is the order of manipulations and words in prayer. One rak'ah consists of a single waist bow (arm) and two sajs (earth bows). To perform these prayers, a novice woman must very quickly learn the duas and suras that are read in the prayer, master all the steps and procedures.

A Muslim woman should remember how to correctly do ghusl and voodoo, to learn at least three suras from the Koran and the surah of Fatih, several duas.

To learn how to perform the prayer correctly, a woman can turn to relatives or her husband for help. She can also study various instructional videos and books. A good teacher will tell you in detail the sequence of actions, at which moment the suras and duas are read, how to position the body correctly during the sage or arm.

Indeed, even Allam Abdul-Hai al-Lucknawi wrote that "many of the actions of Muslim women during worship are different from the manipulations of men."

Tahajud

Now we will study the tahajud prayer. This is a night prayer, which is read on a certain part of the night, in the intervals between the prayer of Yatsa (Isha) and the morning prayer. This prayer has its own peculiarities: after yatsa you must sleep for several hours and only then, after awakening, perform this prayer.

By the way, tahajud is in the group of additional prayers. For each believer (mummins), this worship is a sunnah muccad. And worship of the Lord is considered an indispensable prayer. The Messenger broadcasts as follows: "The prayer of tahajud is the most good, important and useful after the necessary fivefold worship."

after night prayer

However, for the Messenger of Muhammad himself, the night prayer was indispensable. Allah says this: “Wake up in a certain part of the night and pray. Perhaps your Lord will elevate you to an honorable paradise. ”

This prayer is performed just like the others, two rak'ahs each. You can read the suras here both to yourself and aloud.

Night treasure

And yet, what is the name of the night prayer? Usually the tahajud prayer is called the night treasure. Interestingly, the book “Xavi Kudsey” says: “The smallest number of rak'ahs in the tahajud prayer is two, and the largest is eight rak'ahs.” And in the works of “Javhar” and “Marakil Falah” it is written: “The smallest number of rak'ahs in the night prayer is eight. You can choose here at will. ”

Prayer time tahajud

So, let's take a closer look at the night prayer. What time does it need to be done? It is known that the second half of the night (before the morning sunrise) is considered the best time to read tahajud prayers. And during the final third of the night, the omnipresent Allah receives a dua and proclaims: “Who will decide to ask Me (for something) that I will give it to him? Who will pray for forgiveness of Me that I have mercy on him? ”

But if someone is not able to wake up this part of the night, he can read the night prayer (tahajud) at any time after the completion of the isha-namaz (night prayer). The Messenger of Allah uttered: “Everything that happens after Isha is called night (considered tahajud).”

night prayer what time

If the believer that can awaken at night, not sure, he must fulfill before bedtime window. Moreover, if he did rise at night, he can read tahajud, but there is no need to repeat the vitr.

In general, the offensive of Ramadan provides an excellent opportunity for the wonderful sunna of our adored Mentor to be firmly entrenched in everyone's life.

The virtue of namaz tahajud

So, we studied the time of night prayer thoroughly. Consider now its merits. The Qur'an says: “They separate their sides from the couches, crying out with fear and hope to their Lord. They consume from what We have allocated them. “No one knows what delights for the eyes are hidden for them in the form of gifts for what they performed.”

It is known that the Messenger of Allah constantly performed nafl-namaz (tahajud) all night long. Mrs. Aisha said: “Do not leave the night prayer, because even the Messenger of Allah never left him. Even in case of weakness or illness, he committed it while sitting. ”

It is known that the Messenger of Allah inspired the ummah to perform tahajud. The Fakihs determined: tahajud is the most significant of all the nafl prayers.

The Prophet cried out: “Go up to pray at night! After all, this is really the custom of a righteous ancient people, which will allow you to approach Allah, abstain from sin, and atone for your minor sins. "

The Prophet also said: “May Allah have mercy on the man who woke up at night and performed the prayer, and then began to wake his wife. But if she refused, then sprinkled her with water. May Allah have mercy on the woman who, having awakened at night, performed the prayer, and then woke up her husband and asked him to pray. But if he refused, his wife should sprinkle water! ”

Nine blessings

And Umar bin Khattab said that the Prophet uttered: “He who performs the prayer in the ideal way at night will give Allah nine blessings - four in Ahira and five in worldly life.”

You must remember the five benefits that exist in worldly life:

  1. Allah will protect from adversity.
  2. A trace of submission to the Creator will be revealed on the face of a Muslim.
  3. All the people and hearts of the righteous will love him.
  4. Wisdom will come from his tongue.
  5. Allah will give him understanding, turn him into a sage.

It is also necessary to know the four blessings that will be bestowed in Akhirat:

  1. A Muslim will rise again, and his face will be illuminated.
  2. The report on the Day of Judgment will be made easier for him.
  3. He, like a flash of lightning, will pass through the Sirat Bridge.
  4. On Judgment Day, the Book of Acts will be given to him in his right hand.

Hygiene of Muslim women in prayer

And how to read a night prayer to a woman? Muslim women must be very careful about this prayer, especially during the onset and end of the menstrual cycle. In order for prayer not to become a debt, first of all, you need to know the time of the performance of all services. Today, everyone has the opportunity to purchase a watch and a schedule of prayers (ruznam).

In general, the beginning of prayers can be determined by azan. The end of the prayer time can be found out in this way: the beginning of the dinner prayer time before the moment of the afternoon prayer is the time of the lunch service, until the evening azan is the time of the prayer service performed after lunch. With the onset of the time of evening prayer to night prayer, this is the time of evening worship. After the night prayer, night time begins, which ends at dawn. And from dawn until sunrise - the time of morning prayer.

So, if the time of the supplication comes at 12 o’clock, and the afternoon at 15 o’clock, then the term of the prayer is called three hours. It is known that if the longitude of day and night changes, the time of prayers also changes, as indicated by Ruznam.

After a woman has studied and found out the time of prayers, she must follow the beginning and end of her menstrual cycle.

Cycle start

So, how to read a woman a night prayer, and all the others at the beginning of the cycle? Suppose the time for a lunch service begins at 12 o’clock. If a Muslim woman after this moment, after five minutes (actually at the time of the beginning of the prayer time) begins her period, then after she cleanses, she is obliged to refund this prayer.

This is interpreted as follows: at the time of the beginning of the prayer, a woman immediately, having performed only the most important (farce) small ablution and, having read the prayer, having performed short suras after Al-Fatiha and without stretching her hand and judgment, could have performed the farce. All these actions are performed only within five minutes. A Muslim woman who did not take advantage of this time, but who had the opportunity to do so, is obliged to compensate for the prayer.

Many have already understood how to perform night prayers, other types of prayers. But one cannot conclude that if a Muslim woman did not perform the prayer as soon as the time came, it would be considered a sin. A woman, like a man, has the right to postpone the moment of prayer. However, if she had the opportunity to read the prayer in that short time and did not read it, after cleansing, she should repay the debt.

Cycle end

So, we studied the night prayer in more detail. We also identified its name. But let us consider the purification of a woman and the procedure for performing prayer by her at this moment. Take lunch prayer as an example. It is known that lunch prayer time ends at three in the afternoon. If a Muslim woman clears herself before the lunch time expires and she has minutes left to say Allahu akbar to the afternoon azan, she must compensate for the prayer for the dinner. After all, the believer was in purity, even if only a minute of the term before this service.

night prayer

The question arises: how does a woman determine the cessation of menstruation? She should be very careful on the days when her cycle ends. Having cleansed, she should instantly bathe and perform namaz before the time has expired.

If the believer, having the opportunity, did not hurry to pray, she will sin as if she missed the farce. Do not be shy to perform a full ablution. At any opportunity, you need to swim and read the prayer. To achieve this goal, you can endure a little cold in order to fulfill the farce in time.

Perhaps, with the help of this article, readers will be able to understand the rules for performing night prayers.
