Hadith
- Aisha told the story: “It so happened that the Messenger of Allah kept the prayer of Isha until it passed deep after midnight. He went out later, performed a prayer and said: "This is the true time of this prayer, but I am not afraid to burden my disciples."
- The Messenger of Allah said: “If it were not burdensome for my community, I would order them to read the prayer Isha to put off until the first third of the night or until the middle of the night.”
- Jabir said: “Sometimes the Prophet hurried with night prayer, and sometimes he hesitated. When he contemplated a multitude of people, he recited a prayer service early. When people came late, he put off the prayer. ”
Night prayer
And now we will try to consider in more detail the night prayer (al-isha) and the prayer vitr. When praying at night, one must first utter four rak'ahs of the Sunnah, similar to the Sunnah of the afternoon prayer. Then ikamat is performed, and after four rak'ahs of the fard, similar to the fard of midday worship. Then the worshiper reads two rakahats of the Sunnah, similar to the Sunnah of the morning prayer. Between them, the difference can only be found in niyyat.
Then three rak'ah prayers vitr are performed. By the way, prayer vitr is considered a wajib and consists of three rak'ahs. It is read after a night prayer. In general, in each rak'ahtah, “al-Fatiha” and one more sura are performed.
How is prayer vitr performed? Night prayer for women is the same obligatory prayer as for men. Many Muslim women are afraid to read a prayer service, since they do not know how to perform it. By the way, tahajud is in the group of additional prayers. For each believer (mummins), this worship is a sunnah muccad. And worship of the Lord is considered an indispensable prayer. The Messenger broadcasts as follows: "The prayer of tahajud is the most good, important and useful after the necessary fivefold worship."
However, for the Messenger of Muhammad himself, the night prayer was indispensable. Allah says this: “Wake up in a certain part of the night and pray. Perhaps your Lord will elevate you to an honorable paradise. ”

And yet, what is the name of the night prayer? Usually the tahajud prayer is called the night treasure. The Prophet cried out: “Go up to pray at night! After all, this is really the custom of a righteous ancient people, which will allow you to approach Allah, abstain from sin, and atone for your minor sins. "
The Prophet also said: “May Allah have mercy on the man who woke up at night and performed the prayer, and then began to wake his wife. But if she refused, then sprinkled her with water. May Allah have mercy on the woman who, having awakened at night, performed the prayer, and then woke up her husband and asked him to pray. But if he refused, his wife should sprinkle water! ”
Nine blessings
And Umar bin Khattab said that the Prophet uttered: “He who performs the prayer in the ideal way at night will give Allah nine blessings - four in Ahira and five in worldly life.”
