Archimandrite Naum from the Trinity-Sergius Lavra was born in December 1927 in 1927 (by the way, December 19 is the feast of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker). In the world he was called Nikolai Alexandrovich Bayborodin. The biography of Archimandrite Naum from the Trinity-Sergius Lavra originates in the Siberian village of Shubinka, Novosibirsk Region. Now it is called the village of Maloirmenka.
Archimandrite Naum Bayborodin of the Trinity-Sergius Lavra was the son of peasants: his father was Alexander Evfimovich, and his mother was Pelageya Maximovna. In addition to Nicholas, another 7 children were born in the family, but, unfortunately, they all died in infancy.
A week after birth (December 25), Naum was christened the temple of the same village.
Later, the family moved to the Primorsky Territory, and Nikolai went to school, but the outbreak of the war did not allow him to receive secondary education (he finished 9th grade Naum).
Army and study
As you know, Orthodox are not born, but become. The path of Nicholas to the church was long.
Since 1944, Nicholas, like all men of that time, was drafted into the Soviet army. The young man did not serve on the front line, but carried military duty in the aviation technical units (moreover, these were troops of command importance, Nikolai was to become a military man). He served in the cities of Riga, Kaliningrad, Siauliai (Lithuania). In 1952, Nikolai was demobilized with the rank of senior sergeant, with encouragement - a commemorative photograph next to the banner of the unit.
After demobilization, he continued his studies at school, and in 1953 he was enrolled in students of the Polytechnic Institute of the city of Frunze, faculty: Physics and Mathematics.
While serving in the army and studying at a higher educational institution, Nikolai actively attended church, and after graduating from the institute (1957) he moved to the city of Zagorsk, where he entered a theological seminary. The rector of the Cathedral of the city of Frunze signed a letter of recommendation to Nicholas, he saw in the young man a minister of the church and the Lord God and told his clergy: “Time will pass and Nicholas himself will teach you to read the Apostle.” And in the same year (in the month of October) Nicholas was enrolled in the brotherhood of the Trinity-Sergius Lavra. Almost a year later (1958, August 14), Nikolai was tonsured a monk and given the name Naum (in honor of Naum of Radonezh).
Church way
The clergyman of the Trinity-Sergius Lavra, Archimandrite Naum Bayborodin, was ordained consecrated hierodeacon on October 8, 1958, in Metropolitan of Novosibirsk and Barnaul Nestor, and exactly one year later, Naum was ordained a hieromonk. According to some information (unconfirmed), there is information that Naum belonged to holy fools and had the gift of foresight. He knew how to approach a man, what to tell him to calm down and find a solution to problems himself. And Naum simply instructed. It was a very subtle and sensitive psychologist.
Predictions, as such, the archimandrite did not. But he said one thing, which, however, is a prediction. And if these forces will spread in Russia, then the end of the world is inevitable.
Archimandrite Nahum from the Trinity-Sergius Lavra said that if modern Sadducees, Pharisees, thieves, murderers and libertines will pull the rope on themselves, then the prayer of the righteous and worshipers will not save. Evil will triumph. Disasters will be inevitable. And the rope is our life, our good and bad deeds.
Death
The demise of Archimandrite Naum of the Trinity-Sergius Lavra occurred on October 13, 2017. Last year, Naum was in a coma. His death was not unexpected and came at the age of 89 (quite a bit the elder did not live to see his ninetieth birthday). It is not said about the cause of death, but it can be assumed that Archimandrite Naum from the Trinity-Sergius Lavra died of old age. Man lived a long life, and everything in it was. The Metropolitan read out the condolences sent by the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill, directed to the viceroy of the Lavra - Archbishop Feognost, the whole monastic fraternity and the spiritual children of the archimandrite himself.
At the end of the service, the coffin with the body of the deceased father, Naum, was carried around the Assumption Cathedral, to the sound of bells.

Archimandrite of the Trinity-Sergius Lavra Nahum was a smart and visionary person, able to convey information to every (or almost every) person. About the events of a hundred years ago (about the revolution), he said: “According to the sermon of one prophet Jonah Nineveh, all the inhabitants repented and were saved, and their city was supposed to die. Before the revolution, there were a lot of saints in our country! This is John of Kronstadt, and blessed Pasha and Pelageya Diveevsky and many others. After all, everyone had the opportunity to pray to the Lord God to prevent the revolution. At that time, a lot of seminaries and church schools operated in the country. But…. The country was already led not by Orthodox Christians, but by Satanists. Orthodox believers were fired from leadership positions and removed from teachers. They used to teach the laws of God. ” According to Naum, his mother went to school in 1908 and after several days said that there was nothing to go to such a school. Teachers of that time said: “Now we will build a happy life without priests and without kings!” Naum is very indignant that the perspicacious people did not take care of the people, why they allowed a revolution (a coup in the state). And, as practice has shown, in the army all the time were traitors.
According to Naum, the current government worships the devil, the same people made a revolution 100 years ago and people like them already in the current XXI century have repeatedly tried to stage coups. But the president of the country was able to take measures to prevent a civil war. Fortunately, it did not reach the shooting.
In order to defeat the Satanists, it is necessary to maintain the unity of the people. It remains a mystery to Europeans how the Soviet Union survived and won the most terrible war of the 20th century. In spite of everything, the Soviet people quite quickly established the production of tanks and aircraft, so necessary for the advanced, and in this difficult time for the country, science did not stand still, but was actively developing. The authorities, faced with miracles on the fronts, ordered the restoration of the Patriarchate in the country, as well as the opening of temples and churches. Churches and chapels were very actively opening in the occupied territories.
On September 4, 1943, a meeting took place in the Kremlin of Stalin with Sergius (Stragorodsky), Leningrad and Novgorod Alexy and Nikolai (Yarushevich). And at that moment it was decided to open the Lavra and resume the theological courses.
Archimandrite Naum believes that good rulers are needed for our state. With whom you can consult and not blaspheme the name of God, then people will become kinder. And surely every Christian person must keep the commandments, as they are given to everyone. And the recognition of gay marriage is generally unacceptable to humanity, as well as gender change. Naum opposes the sale of land of the Russian state, against the killing of children, including the unborn, against sodomy and fornication. If such phenomena occur on Russian soil, then the end of the world is not far away.
Naum was positive about the changes taking place in Africa. On this continent, many people adopt Orthodoxy, abandon Islam and preach Jesus Christ and the Virgin Mary.
Before the revolution under the Tsar, people believed in God, the church was one with the state. Schools were church, and people were taught the commandments of Christ there. Nahum was not verbose, but his every word was spoken at the time it was needed. Just one word - and people began to think a lot.
Father Naum left an inheritance in the form of his works. According to his multivolume patristic alphabet, the current monks and monasteries, both female and male, restored with the blessing of an old man, have already learned. And besides the monasteries, with them there are gymnasiums, parish schools, shelters. In general, Naum always wanted the church life to live, and now it comes to life.
