In the early 90's, a new band appeared in the musical environment - the “Commissar” group. Several people took part in its creation. One of them was the then famous poet in show business, Valery Sokolov. He will be the author of six songs from the first album of the group and the permanent producer of this group. Leonid Velichkovsky became the composer of Komissarov; earlier, he was a keyboard player in the Technology group.
Also, Alexey Shchukin joined the composition, it was then the
famous DJ of the largest Moscow disco “Class”. The arranger was Vadim Volodin, it was he who was engaged in the very first album of the group.
Group "Commissar" - agree, the name is pretty brutal. A sort of political worker in a leather jacket immediately appears before his eyes, who achieves everything with his labor, not hoping for outside help. It should be noted that this is the principle of work that the members of this team chose for themselves. They did not engage in their own PR and did not use cheap tricks in promotion. The children’s policies are unequivocal - people should like them only with their creativity. And they succeeded. Group "Commissar" was able to declare itself, not having a single album in their assets. The concert organizers gladly invited them, knowing that the full house would be guaranteed. And, in principle, at that time there was only one super-song of the “Commissar” group - “You will leave”, and to this day it is a visiting card of the group.
In early 1991, the group performed at all festivals, major concerts and charts. In the summer of the same year, the long-awaited recording of the first album appeared, it was called "Our time has come." The team travels all over Russia with solo performances. In September, they are invited to the Star Rain festival, which is broadcast on the RTR channel, and they successfully lead the first round. And in October they receive the Ovation Award.

The period from 1991 to 1993 was truly stellar for the team "Commissioner". The group, the photo of which was in all magazines, on calendars and posters, was engaged in endless tours, audio cassettes with their recordings diverged in huge print runs. They became diploma winners at the Golden Key and Star Rain festivals, and laureates at the Sound Track festival. But the next two years were a period of recession and a creative crisis. Sales and the number of concerts decreased markedly, and only by the end of 1997 they had the first messenger of new success - it was a song called "What are you ...". Following her, another song breaks out - "Rubbish", it is she who leads the new album, released in 1998. It was an undoubted success! The Commissioner group is again participating in all charts. She got a second wind thanks to the author of these two songs - the poet and composer S. Kuznetsov. And a considerable share of success belonged to the new arranger A. Kirpichnikov, with his help the group received a new sound.

Encouraged by the successful results, the guys in 2000 released the next album, entitled “Commissar 2000”, or “Music of the New Millennium”. This album is among the top sellers in the MC and CD markets. The year 2002 was marked by the conclusion of a contract with the record label “ARS” and the release of the number album “Love is Poison”. Their first video clip is shot for the song of the same name, Sergey Bondarchuk becomes the director. For some time, the clip is actively scrolled on the central TV channels, but then the PR company ceases, and the group, having paid off the money invested in promotion, breaks the contract with the “ARS” company. The musicians again go into free swimming.
Since 2003, the team has been only touring, and from time to time they have new songs. Then they begin cooperation with the Monolith company, which turned out to be quite productive. A collection entitled “Not a pirate”, the first MP-3 album “The Commissioner Group 2010”, was released, which included all the most famous songs for the group’s twenty-year activity. Then another album was released - “Romance 2010”, which includes both old and new songs of the “Commissar” group.
