Preparatory phase before drawing
Since drawing a tank is a serious matter, you should thoroughly prepare for the lesson. Of course, you need to carefully consider photos of this military equipment. It will not be superfluous to unobtrusively have a conversation with the child, to ask what he knows about the tanks, to tell him about what the adult himself knows. And it is already necessary to tell something about the Great Patriotic War, about the heroism of Soviet soldiers, about the victory of the Soviet Union over the Nazis. Considering the photo, it is necessary to highlight the main parts of the tank.
Master class "How to draw tanks with a pencil"
It’s best to start painting with tracks. They have the shape of ovals, slightly flattened from above.
Inside the figure, draw another one, similar, but slightly smaller than the first.
Inside the ovals, draw the wheels - circles.
Inside the latter, you need to draw another concentric circle, but much less.
If we draw the tank with a pencil in stages, then after the tracks you can go to the image of the tower. We will have two parts. First, draw a low rectangular trapezoid with rounded corners above the caterpillars.
Above it, we depict another same figure with a lower base slightly smaller than the upper one. The upper trapezoid should have a height that would be greater than the bottom.
Now you can proceed to drawing the trunk. It is depicted by two parallel lines emanating from the top of the tower.
A rectangle with rounded corners is drawn at the end of the trunk, which should protrude in width.
Since we almost finished drawing the tank, we can start painting the image. Draw a red star on the tower, and a bursting flame from the trunk. Paint the tank itself in green, and draw trees, bushes, grass and earth around.

But you can do without painting the picture in color. The black and white image of military equipment is already a task for older children - aged 9-10 years. Although the principle of drawing itself remains the same, small details are already more clearly drawn here. For example, the barrel of a tank is not depicted by two straight parallel lines, but consists of several connected parts. And the tower itself is not written out as schematically as in the drawing for kids.
Isometric view and linear perspective
Since any subject should be drawn according to all the rules of art, artists over 12 years old should explain the theory of isometric projection and linear perspective. With the first one is first introduced to, if necessary, images of a cube. It implies parallelism and equal size of the sides in the foreground and background. In a linear projection, the lines parallel in reality should converge at a certain point in the horizon, so objects and sides of the background come out less than similar objects in the foreground.
