The year 2005 was marked by the fact that Gavrilov Sergey Anatolyevich won the elections to the Belgorod Regional Duma. He advanced from the Communist Party.

Red march
September 15, 2016, under the auspices of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation and with the direct participation of S. Gavrilov, several hundred people passed through Voronezh streets. Participants in the so-called Red March put forward slogans to counter the arbitrariness of the administrative authorities, attempts to reduce scholarships, further impoverishment of ordinary Russians, increase prices and tariffs, and the like.
At the rally, the leaders of the local representation of the Communist Party addressed the people. They spoke anxiously about the upcoming voting day, fixing multiple violations of the law during the election campaign.
According to speakers, this is because supporters of the Communist Party are increasingly gaining strength. This was the reason for dropping the slanderous leaflets, splashing dark paint on candidate campaign posters, and attempts to judicially remove the leader of the regional party cell from the election race.
It has been suggested that the so-called carousels can use twenty thousand absentee ballots issued by regional election commissions.
Calls were recorded from some government officials to the districts to force observers to refuse to participate in an elected company.

"The only party that has the opportunity to help the country out of the protracted economic crisis is the Communist Party," Sergei Anatolyevich Gavrilov said at a rally.
