For many years, such a position as a psychologist-teacher has been available in schools, kindergartens, hospitals and even service institutions. Similar practices are practiced by people, psychologists by education, who have in some way both medical and pedagogical knowledge. Often in large teams there are various kinds of problems that not everyone can solve. Similar incidents may also be characteristic of people with a narrow circle of contacts.
So, the psychologist-teacher is most often invited to kindergartens and schools. This kind of specialist is necessary for children, so that he directs their spiritual development in the right direction, establishes moral values, solves problems of an existential nature, and also eliminates possible tendencies for personality disorder. In any team, the psychologist and teacher works to improve the microclimate and any interactions between its participants, builds relationships, and eliminates conflicts. A mandatory psychological analysis is also carried out.
However, the activities of the teacher-psychologist are not limited to only such analytical exercises and lectures that normalize the "weather" in society. It often happens that in one class (group, group), in principle, work goes on as usual, but an individual person experiences some discomfort.
It can be associated with relationships with other members of society, with the acceptance of oneself and one's duties, with internal adaptation, and so on. Thus, the psychologist-teacher provides reliable protection of the
psychological health of each child in the class, each employee in the team to which he is invited. Also, a specialist of this kind (in particular, one who works in children's institutions) contributes to the
personal development of each child.
Of particular note is the very principle of the work of such an important specialist. As a rule, the program of the teacher-psychologist is closely connected with the school curriculum, those subjects and activities that children study in kindergartens, with the direction of activity that is characteristic of a particular organization. In the course of analysis, numerous tests and seminars that psychologists conduct in society, the competence of each employee directly in a particular field of activity, the ability of a student to perceive information, the characteristics of his thinking and inclinations are revealed. As a rule, it is a psychologist and teacher who indirectly forms classes: mathematical, humanitarian, musical.

A separate program is being developed for each age category, which is connected with the knowledge that is given in the lessons and with the features of the development of the nervous system. For example, first-graders are easily “read” by a psychologist according to their drawings, applications, as well as the manner in which they keep notebooks. Looking at these attributes, the specialist immediately reveals many personality traits, temperament and even addiction of the ward. Later, children are offered to undergo psychological tests and trainings in which it is necessary to answer questions, introduce themselves in various situations and conduct their own research.
