The city of Ukhta is located in the Republic of Komi, three hundred kilometers from Syktyvkar. Its population is about one hundred thousand people, and it is considered the second largest population in the Komi Republic.
Healthcare in the city of Ukhta
Naturally, for such a number of people in the city there are many different institutions, educational, medical, and, of course, women's consultation. Ukhta is a city where the mortality rate is 12 per 1000, and the birth rate is high.
More recently, a major overhaul was carried out in some Ukhta healthcare facilities due to the Federal Modernization Program. The city polyclinic, and, accordingly, the women's consultation, was no exception. Ukhta waited for the repair to finish, and the beautiful half began to come to the reception in warm and bright rooms.
This department is headed by an experienced doctor, Elena Batrakova. Previously, she worked in the maternity ward, and now her path is a antenatal clinic. Ukhta owes Elena about the birth of about six thousand babies. Elena says that at least twenty-five women come to see her every day. The work is difficult, but Elena does not imagine another life. For her department, she was sick of soul and was very glad when the repair began in it.
One of the hospitalβs biggest problems was the cold rooms, the old windows were to blame. Thanks to the program, double-glazed windows were installed and redevelopment of premises was carried out.
Patient Reviews
But despite the now presentable appearance, the population of the city complains about the lack of specialists and equipment in hospitals, and women's consultation was no exception. Ukhta, or rather her fair half of its population, is very interested in whether the hospital will be equipped with new technologies after the repair. Of course, not all at once, but gradually the old equipment will be replaced with new.
The city polyclinic and women's consultation should undergo many more changes. Ukhta, whose health reviews are full of different emotions, hopes these changes will be for the better.
