From time to time, the unnatural activity of the Sun breaks people's peace. Especially clearly these changes are felt by people suffering from cardiovascular diseases. At this time, cases of heart attacks and strokes become more frequent.
Scientists do not stop studying the Sun, activity on its surface and the composition of the star as a whole. During this process, experts came to the conclusion that in the next eleven years, the activity of the Sun will decrease and will be abnormally weak. At the same time, some scientists are sure that the cycle of new explosions on the surface of the star may not begin. This opinion was voiced during a meeting of employees of the Department for the Study of the Sun and its activity of the American Astronomical Society.
Experts came to the conclusion that every eleven years the density of the star changes in a smaller direction. Astronomers were able to create patterns of behavior of the Sun and learned to predict its activity.
Specialists at the American Institute studied the movement of plasma rocks inside a star. Moving the plasma from east to west entails a distortion of the magnetic field, so spots form on the surface of the body that are perfectly visible from the Earth. Scientists do not notice any changes in the composition of the plasma, however, each new explosion on the Sun generates them. There is an opinion that the subsequent activity of the luminary will be rather weak and will not manifest itself, as in previous years.
If the activity of the Sun nevertheless increases, then only from 2021 to 2022. This is much later than expected. At the same time, other experts studying the surface of the star came to the conclusion that over thirteen years of observation, the intensity of explosions on the planet decreased. This was revealed by studying the dynamics of the development and occurrence of spots on the surface of the sun.
The total number of active cycles is 24th, while the intensity of large-scale explosions decreased only during the 23rd and 24th cycles. Therefore, there is an opinion that the weak activity of the Sun may cause the 25th cycle to not occur.
The study of the Sun is conducted by several groups of scientists. Some of them are of the opinion that the 25th cycle will nevertheless come, but with a great delay. Analyzing the outer part of the planet, the researchers calculated the magnetic field of the star. According to them, a new surge in solar activity should appear on its surface in the region of the 70th parallel. It is expected that he will move towards the equator. Thus, the magnetic field of the previous cycle will shift by 85 degrees.
Not all astronomers agree with this statement, since it is now impossible to give an accurate forecast of how activity will appear on the surface of the Sun. The modern analysis model does not allow for accurate calculations, because the current 24th cycle was expected earlier, but the predictions of scientists did not materialize. He came not only later, but also turned out to be rather weak.
