Novocherkassk Geological Prospecting College has its history since 1947. One of the largest in Russia out of 9 educational institutions of this profile. The college prepares specialists in 11 areas. Every year in June, an open day is held where future students can familiarize themselves with the directions of the geological profile.

Novocherkassk Exploration College has the status of a state budget educational institution. Education is conducted on the basis of the 9th and 11th grades with the corresponding program, nonresident students are accommodated in a comfortable hostel.
