What is a Ducan diet?

The author of this diet is a nutritionist from France Pierre Ducane. Its main principle is the use, mainly, of those products that have a high level of protein content. Thus, the Dukan diet menu presumes mainly protein, and therefore eggs, meat and fish become the main ones in the diet .

The results of the first stage and the diet as a whole are amazing: already in the first period there is a rapid weight loss - about 4-5 kg! This diet is perfect for those people for whom nutrition is, first of all, a way of saturation, and the taste variety does not really matter. Ducan's diet: an approximate menu of each stage

Pierre Ducane divided his diet into four stages, each of which has its own task: attack, alternation, consolidation and stabilization.

At the first stage, allowed products can be consumed in unlimited quantities, because it is proteins that play a huge role in weight loss. They do not contain many calories, are perfectly absorbed in the body, without causing a feeling of hunger. In large quantities, they require an additional expenditure of calories, that is, the body works hard, which leads to weight loss.

The first stage should last seven days. It will be extremely difficult for those who can hardly endure a uniform diet. The regimen is really very difficult, because it is allowed to eat only products of animal origin, in which there is a lot of protein - meat, fish. Do not exceed the duration of this stage - it may already be to the detriment of health.

During the "attack" is determined by the level of effectiveness of the diet. At this stage, you must strictly follow the recommendations and use exclusively animal products. Also, the Dukan diet menu complements its monotonous skim dairy products. The diet allows the use of beef (except steak and ribs), horse meat, veal, white chicken or turkey meat, tongue, liver, kidneys, low-fat dairy products, any seafood and fish, as well as eggs. You can also mix these products. In order for the intestines to work properly, you need to add oat or wheat bran to your food and drink at least 1.5 liters of water per day.

The menu of the second stage implies that all โ€œattackโ€ foods remain in the diet, and you need to add vegetables - raw and boiled: tomatoes and cucumbers, green beans, radishes and asparagus, as well as peppers and carrots, spinach and mushrooms, cabbage and zucchini, peppers and beets. The amount of vegetables consumed per day is unlimited. The principle of nutrition is that "protein" days alternate with days of "protein + vegetables" according to the scheme 1: 1, 2: 2, etc. Moreover, the sequence of days can be changed at any time.

It is worth remembering that the alcohol and diet of Dr. Ducan (the reviews of her fans confirm this) are incompatible.

At the third stage, you need to consolidate the result and gradually return to the usual diet. The duration of the stage should be proportional to the amount of lost kilograms: one kilogram - ten days of "fixing". You can eat the products of the first two stages, 40 g of cheese, cereals with a high level of starch (corn, rice, pasta), peas, beans, potatoes, 2 pieces of bread, fruits (except bananas and grapes).

You can arrange a feast for the body twice a week, eating whatever you want. Only not all day, but in one go. One โ€œprotein" day must be arranged during the week.

At the last stage , the weight is stabilized. You need to follow only two simple rules: eat oat bran daily and one day a week to arrange a "protein" day (use only those foods whose protein level is quite high).
