If until recently the couch and TV were the best friends of the couch potato, today this role goes to the computer. But the more honorable status of “do not spill water” is applicable to the outgoing duo “man and laptop”.
Almost all modern technologies have a sufficiently high degree of strength. A laptop is no exception. Despite all the qualities endowed by the manufacturer, the laptop is not protected from many situations that could disable it. If a special protective film for a laptop helps protect the display from mechanical stress, how can I extend the life of the product as a whole?
What to protect a laptop from?
The first and most common danger is coffee, tea, or other drinks. If they get inside the computer, they may cause a short circuit. As a result, the keyboard adapter and the motherboard on which it is mounted fail. Repairing a product damaged in this way will cost a little less than a new laptop. However, everything can end even worse if other components are damaged in the event of a circuit. Here the consequences are more than unpleasant: you will have to not only buy a new computer, but also recover data on the hard drive.
Dust is no less dangerous for a laptop computer. The action of its particles is comparable with the properties of abrasive powder. They, getting inside the device, accelerate the wear of mechanical components. In addition, dust accumulations can affect keyboard performance over time.
The screen of a portable assistant, which with time of operation is covered with all kinds of scratches and scuffs, needs no less protection and care. Such minor damage can significantly affect image quality. A reliable and affordable method is known - a special film that allows you to save the appearance of the product for a long time.
How to stick a protective film? Step-by-step instruction
Before sticking the protective film, you must wash your hands thoroughly to avoid greasy fingerprints on the screen. Then, using a special napkin, you should clean the screen, saving it from fibers and dust particles.
Having removed the film from the packaging, it is necessary to carefully separate its duplicate layer by a couple of centimeters. Sticky part to the upper edge of the display, then, gradually separating the unnecessary layer, cover it with the entire surface of the screen. In order for the protective film on the screen to lie evenly and without air bubbles, the gluing process must be accompanied by smoothing with a plastic card or other device.
Perhaps the film will fall wrong the first time. In this case, it can be carefully peeled off and installed again. How to re-stick a protective film if small fibers adhere to it? To do this, it must be washed under water and blow dry. A high-quality film will not lose its sticky properties. However, the absence of a protective layer will greatly complicate the gluing process.
How to stick a protective film in a wet form? Of course, this process requires more patience. After wetting the film under running water and shaking it, apply it to the surface of the screen. Then, with the help of a plastic card, we “drive away” the remains of air and moisture from under it, which at the same time get wet with a dry cloth. It is important to avoid getting moisture inside the device!
