A diet for gastritis is the basis of a quick recovery.

Gastritis is called inflammation of the mucous membrane of the stomach, usually accompanied by a violation of digestion, secretory function and attacks of pain of varying intensity. In the vast majority of cases, the disease with gastritis is a consequence of an improper diet, the consumption of food is “dry”, the abuse of spicy, canned food and, of course, the excessive consumption of alcohol, especially hard liquors. Smoking on an empty stomach also has a provocative effect on the development of gastritis, since if the stomach is empty, then harmful substances from the cigarette with saliva go directly to the unprotected mucous membrane, causing irritation. In addition, in the stomach of approximately 80% of adults, or rather, in the thickness of the mucous membrane of the wall itself, the so-called “obligate”, that is, usually safe, but capable of causing the disease, microorganism Helikobakter pilori (Helikobakter pilori) lives under certain conditions . elevated values of PH (or acidity figures) of gastric juice, according to the latest data from studies, contributes to the launch of the mechanism of development of gastric ulcer in combination with the duodenum.

In addition to specially designed medicines, a diet for gastritis is crucial. Proper nutrition alone can stop and prevent the disease. The best thing, of course, is not to bring the matter to the disease of gastritis itself, but to initially observe the correct and recommended diet by all gastroenterologists. But practice shows that, alas, many catch themselves even when there are bouts of pain in the epigastric region (immediately below the sternum is a projection of the stomach). If the pain appeared for the first time and not intense, arising on an empty stomach and quickly passing after eating, then most likely it is a superficial gastritis diet in which it is quite simple. It is necessary to exclude all spicy, smoked, pickled and fried dishes, do not eat dry food. Of the drinks, black strong coffee, sour juices (even if the acidity is lowered), alcoholic beverages with any alcohol content are completely unacceptable. It is best if the gastritis diet consists of liquid foods - low-fat soups for lunch in combination with steamed dishes. For breakfast and dinner, porridges with low-fat milk are optimal. The food intake regimen should be fivefold or even sixfold throughout the day, and in small portions, so it is better for the sick body to cope with the digestion of foods and further evacuation.

If there is already a chronic form of the disease with gastritis, then periodic exacerbations are possible, especially with errors in nutrition. The patient is always worried that an exacerbation has occurred, as this is accompanied by intense pain that can literally “twist” a person in half. Diet with exacerbation of gastritis, especially in the first few days, should be as sparing as possible. In the first 24 hours of exacerbation, a “hungry pause” must be sustained to unload the diseased stomach. Only liquid can be consumed. Best enveloping liquid non-concentrated jelly, still water, weak tea at room temperature. And from the second day, start eating with small portions of porridge on the water (well, if it is oatmeal), mashed vegetable soups (potato or gruel-like mashed potatoes), to meet the protein needs, you can add eggs to the diet “in a bag”.

In general, a diet for gastritis requires a deliberate approach, since, on the one hand, it should make up for all the needs of the body for certain nutrients, and, on the other hand, be as light and gentle as possible. It is best if the diet for gastritis is developed and appointed by a specialist in this field - a dietitian.
