Purulent - a Russian rapper who gained fame after speaking at rap battles. He is a member of the anti-Hype creative association under the Renaissance label and the Monthly group. He spent most of his rap battles on venues such as Versus and #SLOVOSPB. He has several nicknames: SLAVA KPSS, Sonya Marmeladova, Buter Brodsky, Vorovskaya Lapa and Valentin Dyadka. Rapper Purulent, whose real name is Vyacheslav Mashnov, is considered one of the most powerful Russian batloviks. In August 2017, he competed with Oxymiron as part of the Versus vs #SLOVOSPB project and gained an unconditional victory by decision of the judges with a score of 5: 0. This victory significantly influenced his career growth.
Rapper Purulent: date of birth, real name, biography
Vyacheslav Mashnov was born on May 9 in 1990 in Khabarovsk, Russia. In school years, the guy was not interested in rap and did not belong to this culture in any way. He was punk, or, as they call it, informal. By the way, the rapper under the pseudonym Ernesto Shut up (real name Dmitry Romashchenko) read about this period of his life when he fought with Purulent on the project “Versus vs #SLOVOSPB” in the summer of 2016. Ernesto Shut up in one of his rounds told the public that at the age of fifteen, Purulent drank urine from a sneaker when he was initiated into punks. Purulent responded to this punchline in a characteristic (impudent and ironic) manner for himself - "these were not sneakers, these were my patrols."
Patrols are shoes from Patrol, which at one time gained popularity among representatives of punk culture. For a long time, the public believed in this story, but later Purulent (see rapper photo below) denied this information. In 2007, Vyacheslav graduated from high school, after which he entered the Khabarovsk Institute of Infocommunications (KIIK). Vyacheslav was not an exemplary student. He always had problems with discipline. Drunken fights, fights and various kinds of hooliganism were repeated reasons for expelling a student. However, Mashnov still managed to successfully graduate and get an education in IT. Having become a computer specialist, he gets a job at the MTS mobile communications company. Career start: battles and popularity
In 2013, aspiring rapper Purulent, whose biography was not yet known to a wide range of people, released an album called Pih-poh. There were only 4 tracks in the album: “Pih-pokh”, “Canaplya”, “I love you” and “The Old Image”. Very soon, a joint EP album with rapper Smesharique - “Indigestion Bank”, containing 6 tracks, is coming out.
In the same year, Vyacheslav is selected for participation in the debut season of the St. Petersburg battle project SLOVO. Here he is full of his immoral jokes, for which he is building up an audience for himself. It is worth noting that Purulent “cleaned” all his opponents without much difficulty. In the summer of 2016, when the GLORY of the CPSU fought with Ernesto Shut up (on Versus v. #SLOVOSPB), in one of his rounds he devoted several lines to rapper Oksimiron, who is considered the number one figure in this culture. Purulent expressed a lot of negativity to Miron Fedorov, and the crowd supported his punch with loud cries and applause. In his punches, he called Oxymiron a “hype-hungry pig,” which for the sake of money and popularity is able to step over its principles and customs. With these same words, Purulent insulted all fans of the titular rapper of the country, supposedly their consciousness is too one-sided. In general, a lot of bile was poured. After this battle, which was won by the GLORY of the CPSU, Oksimiron wrote a post on his Twitter about what calls him to the battle in 2017. Purulent's response was almost instantaneous, the rapper happily agreed to this battle.
Battle of the Year
After it became known that the battle between Oxy and Glory will take place, many publics and Internet portals began to be full of headlines about the upcoming event. The whole year Vyacheslav delighted the public with his EP-tracks, in which he ridiculed and teased Oksimiron in every possible way. However, the purulent behavior model after calling the battle did not change and was predictable. The upcoming event soon acquired the status of "the most anticipated of the year."
In August 2017, the long-awaited battle took place. The battle of eyes, rhymes and punch. Everything is as always. The intrigue over this confrontation continued until the last minutes.
VERSUS X #SLOVOSPB 2017: first round
In the first round, Oxy explains to Purulent that his experience in the rap environment is too low, and that he is not a level for him. Oksimiron declares that if not for his post with a call to the battle, then no one would have known about Purulent. Here, Miron Fedorov makes fun of the “battle by facts” format, playing out a short story about how Mashnov rested in Thailand and was convicted of sexual intercourse with a transvestite.
Purulent's response begins with Oxy suffering from graphomania and that his latest album does not deserve much respect. Slava also accuses her counterpart of plagiarism about the same album “Gorgorod” and some stylistic line in the tracks, like Brodsky and Yesenin (on the battle - Sesenin). It also says that Fedorov uses his status of “the best rapper of Russia” and pushes pseudo-abstruse meaning to the audience. Emphasizes that Oxymiron has become a "snickering" MS.
VERSUS X #SLOVOSPB 2017: second round
According to many, the second round of Oksimiron is the strongest in the history of Russian battles. The rapper’s entry begins with a flip (the answer to the words of the opponent, which was invented on the go), which says that the first round of Glory is a retelling of the track “What have you become?” After this, Fedorov describes the worthlessness and cheapness of the #SLOVOSPB project, accusing their creators of fraud about the rights to the project. Miron also talks about the rolled-down level of his site, supposedly Versus has turned into a commercial project where they make money and spit on hip-hop culture. Further, Fedorov develops the meaning of his flip - he says that Purulent is Oksimiron in his youth, but as a meaningless parody. The round ends with a quotation from the poem of St. Petersburg poet Nikolai Gumilyov, "The Word".
Purulent dedicated his second round to the fact that there were almost no cool punches in Oxy battles, and that he had nothing to say against his poisonous and immoral attacks. Here the Glory accuses Miron of some of his “crumps” (shame, contradictions). The round was pretty strong. There were so many hard punches that started the crowd. After this round, the audience began to smell the victory of the CPSU GLORY.
VERSUS X #SLOVOSPB 2017: third round
Miron Fedorov emphasized that the third rounds of rappers are always the toughest and most accurate, with lots of dirt and facts. But contrary to this canon, he said: "Just talk about books." Oxy began to reveal the meaning of all fiction, that in every work there is a hero and an antihero. Miron read that antiheroes were created only to exalt the hero, because they do not have their own history (hints at the identity of Purulent). With this retelling of the book “The Thousand Hero” (Joseph Campbell) Fedorov hints that Purulent is only a kind of “level in the game” on the way to the main boss, that is, to rapper Disaster (the Oxymiron battle with Dizaster will take place on October 15, 2017 )
The third round of Purulent differs from the rest only in that it had even more nasty and poisonous punchlines towards the opponent with an admixture of real facts from his life. Here he says that the whole battle in order to “get off with Miron” (literally - “I’m just burning you up”) and calls his opponent “a bald dwarf” (rapper Purulent is small). The round ends with a signature punch from the last battle with Ernesto: “I'd rather die as a noun than become famous and become you.”
Personal life
Rapper Purulent for a long time (about 3 years) was in a relationship with a girl whose nickname is Sasha Disco, she worked as a photographer. In 2017, in an interview with Dude, Vyacheslav said that he had broken up with her. Mashnov mentioned this in the battle with Oksimiron. Despite the popularity that has come, the biography of rapper Purulent remains little known. Currently, nothing is known about his personal life.
