Konstantinov Nikolay Alexandrovich - Russian musician and artist. He was born in 1961, on May 22, in Zheleznovodsk. In 1970, the family moved to the city of Rostov-on-Don.
Biography
Konstantinov Nikolay in 1984 graduated from the M. B. Grekov Art College. This educational institution is located in Rostov-on-Don. “Art or death” - that’s the name of the famous one-day exhibition in the art circles of the future partnership, in which in 1988, in March, our hero also took part. The event was held at the House of Culture of the Priboy factory in the city of Taganrog. Nikolai was one of the most active participants in the partnership with the same name - “Art or Death”. He was a constant participant in all the studio and stage projects of the Rostov cult association Beijing Row. Konstantinov Nikolay is one of the founders of a group of special intuitive music called "Urblud Dramadair". In the period 1999-2006, he acted as a poet and singer with this collective. He was engaged in the creation of stage costumes and acted as a flutist. At concerts, he used his paintings as a score to create various musical compositions. In particular, in this way the audio performances “Here is a young lady” and “Sleeping shoes” appeared. In 2003, within the walls of the Dunkin Club studio, with the participation of the Church of the Childhood, Antimusic and M.Ya.S.O groups, he created a solo album called Boogie Cholesterol. The artworks were in private collections in Germany, the USA and Russia. This creative person died in 2006, May 3. He was buried in the city of Rostov-on-Don.
The artist’s mother was Natalya Alekseevna Sukhanova, a prose writer and Russian writer. Felix Nikolayevich Shakhov is the cousin of our hero. He was a Soviet geologist, an expert in the field of ore deposits, a corresponding member of the USSR Academy of Sciences. Angelina - the daughter of the artist, was born in 1983. In 2010, the granddaughter of Daria was born.
Work
The paintings created by Nikolai Konstantinov were not only in private collections. They can be seen in the Museum on Dmitrovskaya in Rostov-on-Don. The artist organized a series of solo exhibitions. The first, entitled “Ordinary Painting,” was held in 2006 at the Actor’s House in Rostov-on-Don. At the same time, the event “You live” was held in the museum on Dmitrovskaya. In 2007, a memorial event entitled “The Exit of the Combat Elephant” was held. The event was held in the House of the actor Rostov-on-Don. In 2014, the 16thLINE art-gallery hosted the exhibition “First of all, an artist”. Our hero demonstrated his work in other events. In particular, he participated in group exhibitions. The first of them was held in the recreation center of the Priboy factory in Taganrog in 1988. It bore the name "One-Day Exhibition". The next such event was called "Bogeyman" and was held in the exhibition hall of the Union of Artists on Gorky Street in Rostov-on-Don.
Statements
Konstantinov Nikolay noted that he often sees the plots of his paintings in dreams. For example, the artist, according to him, dreamed of a child walking in red, blue and yellow valleys and mountains. Where he is heading is unknown, but there will be light ahead of him.
