In almost all religions there is such a thing as “pilgrimage”. In Russia, this is a special kind of journey that carries a semantic load, the main purpose of which is prayer to God and touching the shrines of Orthodoxy. Across the whole world there are many Orthodox churches and monasteries, in which pilgrims flock year-round in the hope of receiving spiritual instruction, tranquility of the soul, healing from disease and peace from the bustle of the world. One of these places is the monastery in Krasnodar, named after Vecaritsa.
A bit of history
In 2003, a wonderful female monastery was created. That was in the month of April. He initiated the construction of an Orthodox church and the creation of a monastery dormitory around it. An honored doctor of Russia and at that time the chief doctor of the adjoining oncology center, doctor of medical sciences, and part-time deputy of the Legislative Assembly, Dudik Yuri Evgenievich. But the status of the monastery itself was assigned to the monastery in 2005.
Since then, rivers flowed to the glorious pilgrims of Krasnodar. The Monastery of “The All-Tsaritsa”, the full name of which is “The Female Convent, named after the Icon of the Mother of God,“ The All-Tsaritsa, from the inheritance of Mount Athos to Russia ”. He is known even outside of Russia.
The creation began on January 12, 2001. Then the Metropolitan of Yekaterinodar and Kuban Isidore and the priesthood of the diocese served a moleben and erected a cross on the site of future construction. Already in February of the same year, a temple slab was laid. Construction was carried out until the spring of 2003.
Monastery today
Currently, the monastery has two territories. This is the city of Krasnodar - the Vetsaritsa monastery in close proximity to the oncology center and its compound on the banks of the Stavok river in the Dinsky district (northwest of the Plastunovskaya station, 1301 km of the M4 Don highway Moscow-Sochi).
The architecture of the temple is made in the Russian-Byzantine style of the XV century. The temple from the Holy Trinity Lavra in Sergiev Posad, named after the Holy Spirit, was taken as a sample. Only the place of the bell tower was changed and the lower aisle was added. The icons are made in a mosaic Florentine style. They filled the kokoshniks of an ancient form. The temple is crowned with a blue dome and the Korsun Cross.
Now, not only pilgrims, but also ordinary tourists travel to Krasnodar. The Vsetsaritsa Monastery opens its doors to all comers, even people who have not yet come to faith. They have the opportunity not only to consider architecture and surroundings, touching the local beauties, but also touch the shrines, think about the eternal.
Consecration
In 2003, on April 5, the throne of the lower chapel was consecrated in the temple. It is named in honor of the holy Equal-to-the-Apostles Nina. Then they served the first liturgy on the feast of the Annunciation on April 7, 2003. Since then, they serve here daily.
When the feast of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary came, Metropolitan Isidor of Yekaterinodar and Kuban held the rite of consecration of the throne in the upper aisle. This event occurred on September 21, 2003. Then they served the liturgy in the church of the icon "The Tsaritsa".
A chapel of St. John the Evangelist and a cell building were built near the temple.
The bells were cast in Voronezh, consecrated on August 5, 2002 by Metropolitan Isidore. Master Oleg Radchenko worked on them.
Be sure to visit the city of Krasnodar. The monastery “Vsetsaritsa” is small, but very fertile, quiet and attracting again and again. I want to plunge into this atmosphere and stay there longer. It seems that the laws of time are not dominant here, the breath of eternity is felt. Such an understanding comes when one gazes at the holy images. It’s clear from the name of the monastery that the main shrine of the monastery is the icon “The Tsaritsa”.
Meaning, what does prayer help in front of this icon?
The face of the Blessed Virgin Mary can be seen immediately above the entrance to the temple, where the mosaic "All Tsaritsa" is located. Above the bell tower, on the facade, rests the image of the Savior with the Mother of God and John the Baptist, surrounded by the Archangel Michael and St. George.
In Greece, at the Vatopedi Monastery, the icon “The Tsaritsa” was painted especially for the temple. The significance of this image helps in deciding on the name of the monastery. As was said, the monastery was built near the oncological center. Where medicine is powerless, the Grace of God comes to the rescue. As you know, our Lord Jesus Christ, crucified on the cross, cleansed the human race from original sin and opened the gates of paradise to them. And the Mother of God “adopted” all of humanity, becoming the patroness of the afflicted, like a real Mother. Through the prayers of the Most Holy One, God has mercy on sinners, heals their spiritual and physical ailments, even the most difficult ones.
Today, a very large number of people already know about the Cheryomushki district in Krasnodar, where there is a modest monastery, the patroness of which is All-Tsaritsa herself. On the image, the Mother of God is depicted seated on a throne with the Divine Infant in her arms and in a crimson robe. Angels spread out with spread wings. Many cases of the miraculous help of the Vecarina were recorded in various sources, even getting rid of witchcraft charms.
Compliance with the rules
Of course, each monastery has its own charter and visiting rules. It is advisable to receive a blessing from the abbess of the monastery, especially if an entire group goes on a pilgrimage. On the official website of the monastery you can find all the necessary coordinates.
The monastery itself is located in the Cheryomushki microdistrict (Krasnodar), in close proximity to the oncology center on Dimitrova Street, 148. As mentioned above, the monastery has its own courtyard, where there is a hotel with a refectory. About 40 people can stay here at the same time.
Arriving at the convent in the name of the icon of the Mother of God “The Tsaritsa”, it is necessary to adhere to the traditions of Orthodoxy. Even if this is a simple tour, it is worth respecting the charter of the monastery - this is elementary etiquette that should be respected everywhere, wherever a person is visiting.

The natives of the monastery work tirelessly, the monastery’s pilgrimage service works at a fairly high level - all this so that people can find peace, find the joy of life and turn to God for help.
